[edit]This meetup follows the event taking place at the Centre for Technomoral Futures, University of Edinburgh. The Future of Free (and Who Will Pay For It) featuring Lane Becker, President of Wikimedia LLC.
About the meetup
[edit]This is intended to include any interested Wikimedians who find themselves in Edinburgh or can make their way to Edinburgh on the day. Anyone who has attended previous meetups in Glasgow or Edinburgh encouraged to return to meet new faces! It will be a social gathering for Wikimedia enthusiasts.
This is mainly a casual social event. You can expect to meet some very keen Wikipedians and some newbies. However this is an open invitation to anyone interested in finding out more about Wikipedia, other Wikimedia projects, projects re-using Wikipedia, and other collaborative wiki projects. Feel free to come along and raise these discussions!
The regular meetup takes place every second month, on the last Saturday of the month, during the daytime - this one is a little out of the ordinary! It remains, however, a relaxed social event.
