Event in Bern: From July 5 to August 18, 2025, the GLAM programme from Wikimedia CH, in collaboration with Galerie Glaab, will present FEMINIST POSTERS on the gallery's exterior facade. On Saturday, July 5, 2025, we warmly invite everyone interested to join the WIKIMEDIA Edit-a-thon. Wikipedia is one of the world’s most popular websites – but it is failing to accurately reflect our society and history: Women are missing from Wikipedia pages, both as subjects and editors: Less than 20% of the biographies on Wikipedia are those of women. Less than 10% of the contributing editors are women. As Wikimedia CH, we bring people together with the aim of disseminating free knowledge for a smart and open society. We enable Wikipedians to share knowledge and connect them with the Wikimedia universe. The acronym GLAMstands for “Galleries, Libraries, Archives and Museums”. Our mission is to help Swiss memory institutions share their curatorial knowledge, collections and resources in a digital manner, on global platforms, making Swiss cultural heritage more accessible to the world.
