Hello, I am a plwiki sysop, interface admin and abuse filter administrator, also a former plwiki checkuser. I have general proficiency in running and maintaining MediaWiki code (including skins and extensions), and due to some ancient extension work proud to still be listed in Special:Version :). I am have also a decent experience in running and maintaining MediaWiki bots, some of them could be old enough to vote in certain jurisdictions.
I have also organized Wikimania 2010 in Gdańsk (Marcin Cieślak is me). This time, I volunteered to help with the coordination of the wikidata:Wikidata:Events/Coordinate Me 2026 campaign.
Currently there is no one from the Polish volunteer community on the list. I also intend to support the Wikimedia Polska chapter in setting up the campaigns. For example, in the BATUTY 2025 request from Wikimedia Polska it has been suggested that:
Furthermore, per the usage guidelines, Wikimedia organizations are kindly asked to have their own CentralNotice administrators that prepare the campaigns if they request (more than) two campaigns per years so that the volunteer admins only need to check and approve it, and can focus on other requests.
That's where I would like to step in (although in my volunteer capacity).
This year in particular, we need to fix display issues with the campaign banner and this is currently pretty hard for a non-admin user due to phab:T422366. By the way, this was not the only issue I've ran into: phab:T424457 was biting me as well, which fortunately got fixed here on meta (thanks @Pcoombe for fixing it so quickly). (edit: banner issues has been fixed on the first day)
I strive to file quality bug reports whenever I can't fix them right away and that sometimes means checking out the code and running it locally. I have 2FA enabled already.
