Statement of the issue

As was briefly discussed at Meta:Babel some components of our software refer to our project name simply as "Meta" (via the wgSitename variable). As the former Facebook company became a company named Meta, this has led to at least some confusion related to notifications, emails, etc from our platform. This proposal is to change our sitename to "Meta-Wiki", which we have already adopted in other places, including our logotext. No change to our database name (metawiki) is included in this proposal.

Comment Note that we already use "Meta-Wiki" for the site name in various parts of the software, including the project-localized-name-metawiki message (for places like Notifications and also used in Tech News), and in wikibase-otherprojects-meta and wikibase-sitelinks-sitename-metawiki, used on Wikidata.org, so this change would be increasing consistency, if anything.
