Request for MassMassage Rights

Hello, I am actively involved in Wikimedia community engagement, particularly in the South Asia region. One of my key responsibilities includes coordinating and supporting the South Asia Open Community Calls, where we aim to bring together contributors from multiple language communities to share updates, opportunities, and discussions.

Currently, reaching participants across different wikis and user talk pages is time-consuming and less efficient. Having MassMessage access will help me:

• Send timely and consistent invitations for South Asia Open Community Calls
• Share important updates and follow-ups with participants across multiple communities
• Support outreach for initiatives such as training programs, campaigns, and collaborative activities
• Ensure communication is more organized, transparent, and scalable

I have experience working with diverse Wikimedia communities and understand the importance of responsible communication, including respecting opt-outs and maintaining relevant messaging. Remove discussion/talk pages from forum articles

I don't think that forum articles (project/content pages), such as Help Forum, Tech, Meta:Babel, and even this noticeboard, should have a discussion (talk) page, as is the case with an article I can't remember now (please let me know if you need me to do so). Hi. I just received a request on hewiki from a temporary account that tried to request the deletion of a spam page, but this filter prevented it from doing so. (he:Special:AbuseLog/1749850)

Should the filter be disabled in certain namespaces to prevent this issue from recurring in the future? Or is there another possible solution?

From what I understand of how translingual MMS works, the message that is sent by default is the English one, and individual communities are encouraged to translate it? A request for deleting a page spreading misinformation

Hi, I hope it's okay to request for such a thing here. If not, just tell me – I won't do it again.

The user Surjection has created a page that contains untrue information about me: https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/User:Surjection/LTAs/Polish_en.wikt_troll The things I disagree with are listed on the discussion page: https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/User_talk:Surjection/LTAs/Polish_en.wikt_troll

For context, it should be noted that the Surjection's page has already done some harm – it was used to justify bans in a completely different Wiki project (https://pl.wiktionary.org/wiki/Wikis%C5%82ownikarz:Eliwande), which is a bit absurdish considering that it's a page that doesn't even exist in the main space.

I don't know about the rules here. Is making a page with untrue negative information about an other user allowed here? If so, does it mean I can do it too? If not, can that page be deleted? Apprenticeshipacquaintance (talk) 22:52, 28 April 2026 (UTC)

I'm not sure it's a great idea to be posting sock lists publicly (usually this is done in more...private spaces), especially considering that while you may be a sockmaster, you aren't globally locked as one, and this would indicate to me that your sockpuppetry isn't nearly as proven as that page claims. That said, I don't think we need to take a terribly considerate approach to a person who openly is evading blocks on multiple wikis. It may be best if we notify @Surjection: and bring them here.

All the above said, I already have a very low tolerance for this section from reading that talk page, so perhaps it may be best to keep things focused on why that page should not exist on Meta (or go to Meta:Requests for deletion and gather consensus for a deletion if you believe the page to be that bad). This is meant to be a page documenting a long-term abuse case. It's meant to act as an introduction to stewards, admins, etc. who are unfamiliar with this case.
