Recently, i got banned off wiki voyage. This was because vandalism, but i didn't take it seriously and the mod banned me from even using the talk page. The mod was acting snarky and replied saying "You can go find a different way to make the world a crappier place". I apologize for not cooperating and vandalizing on wiki voyage, and i also want to apologize sincerely for the vandalizing i made across Wikimedia in general. On Wiidata, I explained to the person who blocked me that I am not the Wikidata trainer for the events I create.

Due to their insistence, I asked them to provide proof of their accusations, which they were unable to do.

I am an organizer for Wiki N'zundeuh event pages, but I am in no way the Wikidata trainer.

Furthermore, a training session for this project is scheduled for the weekend of May 17th by someone else. The program has been announced here.

I would like to know if being an event organizer automatically makes you the trainer. I don't think so, which is why I find it excessive to have this right revoked here.

My Wikidata block is indeed excessive, and I have tried to reach an agreement with the person who blocked me.

This reply does not appear to address the issues raised. It is not appropriate for an editor who is indefinitely blocked on a project to continue organizing events for that project. The existence of future events is not evidence in favour of restoring the right; they were aware of the block when organising them. what is missing here is calmness. the due course would be as @A09 said. Seek calmly an unblock on Wikidata. There's no problem saying, "Sorry, this was a mistake, and I won't create non-notable entries persistently", and perhaps avoid being part of any initiative/project which impacts Wikidata, in any capacity, even creating event pages. Perhaps I'd be okay restoring the right if the focus was into Commons/Wikipedia only. If you seriously need the right, community trust is important. I do not see consensus to restore the event organizer group at this time. While some interest in re-granting was shown, the general consensus of this discussion appears to be that it is inappropriate for Bile rene to hold the event organizer group at this time, considering their active Wikidata block. Disruptive harassment by Dan Polansky

Hello!

I'm reporting User:Dan Polansky for disruptive harassment. For the last month, Dan has repeatedly been leaving me walls of texts on my talk page regarding his indefinite ban from the English Wikiversity for racism and disruptive editing (enforced by community consensus), which I've refused to engage due to the user's history of trolling behavior (hence his indefinite block on the English Wiktionary and block on Meta a few years ago).

I've recently put in an archive bot on my talk page to remove the walls of text, but Dan has been removing it multiple times with no legitimate reason. Even after I have asked him to stop interacting with me, he continues to leave messages on my talk page.

I ask either for a short-term block or an administrator to issue a verbal warning as well, as this is a larger campaign by Dan to harass/annoy users who he's had issues with on other projects. The main worry is that the distribution list is inconsistent regarding whether to include generic village pumps or not, meaning I'm afraid it misses many smaller wikis. Is it possible to send it to Distribution list/Global message delivery only for projects not on the above list? It's fine if that isn't possible.

@기나ㅏㄴ I recommend sending a test mass message to 2-3 of your own user talk pages in different projects next time. Obvious issues like the duplicated header could have been detected that way.

Request for rate limit increase for Special:EmailUser

Similar to my request archived in Meta:Requests for help from a sysop or bureaucrat/Archives/2026-03#Help with Special:EmailUser, please grant my account User:Pine the permission to use Special:EmailUser at higher than the normal rate limit, from 27 May through 01 June 00:01 AM UTC, so that I can email users who have registered to attend the upcoming Wikimedia Café session without being rate-limited. The allowance to bypass the EmailUser rate limit has been granted in the past by temporarily assigning my account the accountcreator permission. • @Xaosflux: thanks. The links to join the meetings are not public in order to limit the exposure of the live meeting to bad actors; see for example en:Zoombombing and sockpuppetry. Also, I prefer to send the meeting links relatively near to the time of the event so that the messages with links are reminders for people who signed up, and so that the length of time in which the meeting links can be leaked is limited. The simple signup method that is being used for the Café seems to work fine without resorting to use of Event Center/Registration#Event Registration Tool. The latter tool seems to have features which could appeal to newcomers and, if an event organizer is a grantee who needs to report on event activities or is part of a multi-person campaign team, to that organizer. None of those factors is involved here. I like the simplicity and transparency of the current method. The only significant technical speedbump so far with the current method for registrations in the low dozens of people is the limitation on using Special:EmailUser to email meeting links to participants if the Special:EmailUser rate limit is reached.
