MediaWiki screenshots are freely licensed; Central Notice banners must be freely licensed. Most of the material we have is CC-BY-SA. I do not think it fits into the scope of Commons if I for example need to screenshot a bad rendering of some part of the user interface. Central Notice request have well defined life cycle that can be monitored by watching the CentralNotice/Request page.   Thank you for the ping, and my sincere apologies for the disruption. Those large-scale account blocks were aimed at an LTA, but they resulted in unintended collateral damage. I'm really grateful that EPIC and M/ were around to revert things quickly and get the workshop back on track.I'm also sorry for being unreachable these past few days. I suffered a recent loss in my family, which kept me away from the project. Going forward, I'll make sure to double-check user agents and be much more cautious when dealing with a large group of suspected LTA accounts. This is not vandalism. The language committee was directed by the Board of Trustees to not accept any new Wikinews requests (see this email from the Langcom mailing list. Therefore, marking open Wikinews requests at the time as rejected was an uncontroversial, procedural action, one that the language committee did not object to at the time. Instead of discussing, he started immediately with threatening me as an admin: "But I think it would be wise to wrap this up now. If not, there will be consequences again." A clear example of intimidation and abuse of power and a violation of the UCoC.

Last month, XXBlackburnXx did already block me indefinitely on nl-wiki on a false basis, as I explained in the U4C case here. While it is unlikely that nl-wiki will have an ArbCom any time soon, my block there is yet to be reconsidered.

Here, here and here I got a de facto implicit global prohibition on the use of pings to users who are active on nl-wiki or to link to discussions there. Even pings to users in this complaint will be interpreted as evading my block (probably not because they think that is true, but rather to use it as a false argument to keep blocking me).
