Hi, I'm Giorgx12 and I like translating in all the Wikimedia's projects. I just made a request on MediaWiki that is still open... I'd like to have translation admin rights to help the community and mark pages as translatable. I think that you'll think about my request, thank you. Please prepare a page for translation according to Meta:Internationalization guidelines --Ameisenigel (talk) 21:03, 24 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks, I'll do tomorrow Giorgx12 (talk) 16:59, 25 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]
@Ameisenigel Can I prepare a template too? Giorgx12 (talk) 16:59, 25 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Sure. --Ameisenigel (talk) 20:06, 25 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]
@Ameisenigel Hi I've prepared the page but I can't login because of 2FA now, tomorrow I'll publish. [TA address —DerHexer (Talk) 07:11, 2 October 2025 (UTC)] 16:22, 26 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]
@Ameisenigel I prepared this page... See if it's right or I have to fix it. Giorgx12 (talk) 07:44, 27 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]
And also my user page. Giorgx12 (talk) 07:52, 27 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Please note that we usually do not mark user pages for translation. --Ameisenigel (talk) 07:52, 28 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks. Please insert an empty line after each header to automatically split the header and the text of the section into seperate translation units. Please also add "Special:MyLanguage" to links to other pages and split the items of lists into seperate translation units. --Ameisenigel (talk) 07:51, 28 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]
@Ameisenigel How can I make a LL to another project (something like w:Mylanguage:WP:babel? Giorgx12 (talk) 09:16, 28 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Are you looking for something like Template:Localized Wikipedia page? --Ameisenigel (talk) 09:39, 28 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]
@Ameisenigel Is there a way to link automatically the user language? Giorgx12 (talk) 10:02, 28 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]
At least I am not aware of it. --Ameisenigel (talk) 13:06, 28 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]
@Ameisenigel I've done Giorgx12 (talk) 16:34, 28 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]
I think I can Support Support now. Just two notes: tvars do not need to be unique for the whole page, just for the translation unit; the text "Workflows" should be translatable as well. --Ameisenigel (talk) 18:35, 28 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]
@Ameisenigel Thank you very much for your support!!! Giorgx12 (talk) 19:23, 28 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Please fix the placement of the <tvar> tags at the bottom of the page. --Min☠︎rax«¦talk¦» 09:47, 29 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support SupportTranslation look fine, with only needing some correction. Changed to Weak oppose for now, block on itwiki is concerning. Plutus 💬 🎃 Fortune favors the curious 09:23, 29 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]
  • I'm sorry but I have to Oppose Oppose the request. While I appreciate your help, and overlooking the mistakes in translations (since we all make them), I've noticed your requests for flags on multiple projects though. I don't like this "hat collection" at all. I also noticed other issues (here the details, nothing too unsolvable, just a little more experience is needed):
    1. You asked how to become autopatrolled on itwiki after a few edits;
    2. You requested the AP flag on itwikivoyage with 0 edits on that project (and with a "self-candidacies are not allowed" notice on top of the page);
    3. You also requested the TA flag on mediawiki, as you already pointed out, and asked how to become TA on commons;
    4. You attempted to subscribe to the itwiki sysops private mailing list;
    5. You added yourself to the itwiki tutor list, and you were told you didn't have enough experience for that, and you also provided some contradictory advices to new users just 2 weeks ago;
    6. You received an indefinite block on 6 namespaces for your repeated behavior against the guidelines on itwiki (often due to inexperience) and after several warnings of various kinds on your user talk page (and another partial block);
For all these reasons, I don't feel confident seeing you with a flag like the TA on metawiki. Don't take this as a failure, I repeat, I always appreciate help and good will, but I believe that everything has its time, and imho you need more experience in projects before thinking about advanced rights. I hope to see you always active on many projects and to grow with a great Wikimedian spirit! Best regards --Superpes15 (talk) 12:16, 29 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Comment Comment I suppose that @Giorgx12: is quite young, therefore I prefer to avoid opposition comments piling up. I'd really just suggest him to keep editing but to avoid "advanced" user requests for at least another couple of years. Thanks, --M/ (talk) 13:50, 30 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]
