I am bureaucrat and sysop at es.wikipedia and sysop at es.wikiquote. Since 2012 I have been voluntarily translating various pages in Meta and since 2020 I have been providing paid translation for the Wikimedia Foundation/Communications/Organization communications translators group to support translation of the organization's communications materials. This tool would make my work easier. .--Jalu (talk) 20:56, 16 May 2025 (UTC)
- Please prepare a sample page for translation as per Meta:Internationalization guidelines. ToadetteEdit (talk) 06:49, 17 May 2025 (UTC)
- Three days have passed and you have edited since my question, even though you have not even prepared a page yet.
Oppose for lack of responsiveness. ToadetteEdit (talk) 06:46, 20 May 2025 (UTC)

Oppose, regardless of how good the translation is, until at least the active U4C case involving the candidate at Universal Code of Conduct/Coordinating Committee/Cases/2025/Spanish Wikipedia Abuse is properly resolved. Not fond of someone who's facing such accusations to be gaining any additional perms at the moment. I may be willing to consider after the case is resolved, however. //shb (t • c) 04:20, 19 May 2025 (UTC)
- To clarify, this oppose stems more from my stance that if you're facing accusations of anything serious, it's not the time to be requesting more permissions, and that includes TA. I don't hold a strong stance with this dispute in particular (it's a mess all over), but it's too ill-timed for me to support. Maybe in another 2 months I'd be okay supporting. //shb (t • c) 04:29, 19 May 2025 (UTC)
- Moreover, the candidate's inability to follow instructions (also listing it as a regular RfA and not TA) does not give me much hope either. //shb (t • c) 04:55, 19 May 2025 (UTC)
- I'm going to expressly disagree with SHB2000 - translationadmin is not a user conduct right so alleged abuse of user conduct rights is completely inapposite IMO. So I think this comes just down to the page. * Pppery * it has begun 04:35, 19 May 2025 (UTC)
- The inability to follow instructions does worry me more. But anyway, prepare a page and I'll make my decision. * Pppery * it has begun 15:43, 19 May 2025 (UTC)
- I'm withdrawing my request and will wait for the U4C's decision. Thank you.--Jalu (talk) 02:17, 21 May 2025 (UTC)
- So, will any 'crat close this request? ToadetteEdit (talk) 06:24, 21 May 2025 (UTC)
