Meta talk:Interlanguage links (simple)

Why is this here? Why is Meta:Interlanguage links not just written in simple English? Meta is supposed to be multilingual, which means the pages in English are going to be read by non-native speakers. Therefore, there is every reason to make all of the English pages as simple as possible, and no reason I can see to have separate pages for the simplified version.
