Super to see activities in Taiwan!

I'm a bit confused with the used currencies (can you add conversions in EUR or USD) and the presence of Chinese characters (are these translations of the English text?). MADe (talk) 21:58, 19 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

  • I agree, I cannot understand the project cause the local currency. I tried also in Oanda but I cannot find a NTD$ currency. --Ilario (talk) 11:42, 20 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]
    • Hello there, thank you for leaving some thoughts about this project. The currencies used in this project is New Taiwan Dollar, which may be called TWD in Oanda. The exchange rate is like 1USD=30TWD or 1EUR=40.9TWD. And yes, the Chinese characters are the translation of the English text, most of the people in Taiwan use Traditional Chinese as the native language and we would like to invite the local community to see this project without language barrier, so we try our best to provide this bi-lingual text in this proposal.--Liang(WMTW) (talk) 00:17, 21 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]
    • Update: after a discussion with staff from WMF and a inner discussion in Wikimedia Taiwan, we have decided to withdrawn this proposal. The reason of this is because WikiMambo is an prototype experiment for the similar projects and we didn't ask for big amount of money, most of the budget of this proposal could be covered by local chapter. We will see the result of the first WikiMambo and create a refined proposal next time. --Liang(WMTW) (talk) 00:17, 21 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]
