Description
[edit]I am undertaking a photographic journey along the Algerian coast, from Oran to Algiers, to enrich Wikimedia Commons with high-quality photos and short videos of this remarkable yet underrepresented region. This stretch of coastline is home to natural landscapes, unspoiled beaches, picturesque coastal villages, and lesser-known historical sites.
At each stop — including Mostaganem, Ténès, Tipaza, Cherchell, and others — I will capture original visuals using my iPhone, which will be published under a free license (CC-BY-SA 4.0). These images and videos will be available to illustrate Wikipedia articles in French, Arabic, and English, contributing to a richer visual representation of Algeria's cultural and natural heritage including landscapes, museums and villages pictures.
As an independent photographer passionate about showcasing my country through visual storytelling, I am committed to producing content that is freely accessible and reusable.
Beyond this personal contribution to the open knowledge movement, this initiative aims to inspire other Algerian creators to share their work openly and collaboratively.
