Description

Wiki1000 is a regional Wikimedia initiative aiming to create or significantly improve 1,000 Wikipedia articles related to North Africa . The project focuses on closing knowledge gaps, improving reliable information, and encouraging cross-border collaboration among Wikimedians.

As part of the Wiki1000 initiative, the project will organize 10 thematic edit-a-thons to engage 10 experienced contributors. Each edit-a-thon will focus on a specific category—such as history, geography, biodiversity, culture, or notable figures of North Africa—to ensure balanced content development. During these sessions, participants will creat Wikipedia articles, adding reliable references, integrating images from Wikimedia Commons, and applying proper formatting and infoboxes. Every edit-a-thon will 6 hour.
