Scope[edit]

The goal of this orientation & training session was to build resources in the field of Watershed management on Marathi Wikipedia and equip its participants with the process of contributing to Wikipedia. Another focus of the session was to develop village articles.

Objectives[edit]

  1. To introduce Wikipedia as an encyclopedia for outreach and training content reference.
  2. To Promote Marathi Wikipedia Community & promote the use of regional languages in Wikipedia.
  3. To have an open interaction with community on local issues & knowledge.
  4. To spread the awareness of Wikipedia as a powerful tool.
  5. To develop communities of interest in 'Water Sector'
  6. To develop articles on water & environment related issues.
