Persian-Uzbek Wiki Collaboration
The Persian-Uzbek Wiki Collaboration was organized from 16 to 30 November 2025 by the Iranian Wikimedians User Group and the Wikimedians of the Uzbek Language User Group. It marked the first bilateral collaboration of its kind in Central Asia. The initiative was organized as two parallel edit-a-thons during the second half of Wikipedia Asian Month. Contributors to the Persian Wikipedia created articles about Uzbekistan and Uzbeks, while contributors to the Uzbek Wikipedia wrote about Iran and Persians.

The contest grew out of agreements reached at Wikimania 2025 and reaffirmed during the August CA collaboration meeting. Alongside the writing activities, the two user groups held online meetings to coordinate the project and exchange knowledge and experiences on shared challenges. Outstanding contributions are to be recognized with prizes, with specific details to be set later.
