Event Description
The "Photowalk 2 2025" aimed to enrich Wikimedia Commons with high-quality images of schools, colleges, and vocational training centers across Arusha. Recognizing the lack of visual representation of Tanzanian educational infrastructure, the event mobilized contributors to document both public and private institutions, contributing valuable visual content for Wikipedia and open education resources. The photowalk also raised awareness of Wikimedia’s mission among educators and school administrators.
Goals
- Improve the visibility of Tanzanian educational institutions on Wikimedia platforms.
