產品與技術諮詢委員會

2024年10月，維基媒體基金會推出了產品與技術諮詢委員會（PTAC）及其成員，作為為期一年的試點。

This council supports the Movement Strategy recommendation to the WMF to "Coordinate Across Stakeholders" by addressing the initiative to form a Technology Council. Its goal is to bring together technical contributors, affiliate representatives, WMF staff, and board members to advise on long-term product and technical priorities for the Wikimedia movement. We anticipate the PTAC pilot to meet over one year and, upon its completion, members of the Council will make a joint decision whether to continue the program.

Members

Activities

產品與技術諮詢委員會將於 2024 年 10 月 31 日以綫上會議方式啟動，並每月舉行一次會議。此外，該小組將於 2025 年 1 月或 2 月舉行會議，合作並討論推進維基媒體運動的技術挑戰和機會。

Later in the year, following the Simple Summaries discussion, the council publish a set of recommendations on improving WMF-community communications surrounding Product and Technology. The council also facilitated the creation of the Unsupported Tools Working Group, a working group which will help in prioritizing and reviewing requests for support of unsupported extensions, gadgets, bot and tools.

Operation
