Project People of India

Project People Of India is a collaboration among Indic Wikimedia Communities.

Overview

People of India Project is a collaboration between the Indic Communities to share knowledge about their respective homelands and represent renowned personalities from different states of India, that will be discussed and decided by communities. The initial stage of the project would be discussion based. Each representative from language community would provide a list of articles about prominent personalities based on the theme of the month decided beforehand. The list will be compiled in the Meta Page of the project, which at the last stage would be used in the edit-a-thon.

Guidelines

The articles must be created keeping in mind core content guidelines and notability criteria for Wikipedia. Other than the standard guidelines, make sure to follow the below mentioned points:

The article length should be of:

• Minimum 200 words
• Minimum 4000 bytes
• Minimum One link
• Minimum One category
• Minimum 3 references
• Minimum one Image
