Punjabi Wikimedians/Events/Mahatma Gandhi 2025 edit-a-thon

Mahatma Gandhi 2025 edit-a-thon is a mini edit-a-thon conducted on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti by Punjabi Wikimedians User Group. The edit-a-thon dates are from 2 October to 6 October 2025. The objective of this edit-a-thon is to improve content related to Mahatma Gandhi on any Wikimedia project. Any Wikimedian, with a registered Wikimedia account, can take part in this Wiki-event.

Please find content related to Mahatma Gandhi on any Wikimedia project such as Wikipedia, Wikimedia Commons, Wikidata, Wikisource, Wikiquote etc and make some improvement. These are some contribution you can make:

Create a Wikipedia article on or directly related to Mahatma Gandhi. You can also choose from this list.
Expand a Wikipedia article directly related to Mahatma Gandhi (or you can copyedit, add reliable references, fix typos, add relevant images etc.)

Rules

This edit-a-thon focuses on creating articles related to Mahatma Gandhi.
You can create articles or else can translate from English Wikipedia to Punjabi language Wikipedia.
If you are creating a new article, please add at least two sections. In every section at least add 5-10 sentences.
Add appropriated references from various sources like established newspapers, popular books, magazines, websites, journals.
Personal blogs are opinions should not be used as a valid reference.

Prizes

This is not a competition, but more like a celebration, and a remembrance. We do not have any target of NN number of articles to be created or expanded, or BB bytes to be added. The idea is to make valuable contribution.
