ਵਿਕੀਮੀਡੀਆ ਸਮਿਟ 2020 ਵਿੱਚ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਵਿਕੀਮੀਡੀਅਨਜ਼ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਨੁਮਾਇੰਦਾ ਚੁਣਨ ਲਈ ਆਖ਼ਰੀ ਮਿਤੀ 16 ਦਸੰਬਰ ਹੈ। ਪਿਛਲੇ ਸਾਲ ਵਾਂਗ ਇਸ ਸਾਲ ਵੀ ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਇੱਕ ਨੁਮਾਇੰਦਾ ਭੇਜਣਾ ਹੈ। ਪਿੱਛਲੇ ਸਾਲ ਵਾਂਗ ਨਾਮਜ਼ਦ ਕੀਤੇ ਗਏ ਮੈਂਬਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਕੰਮ ਨੂੰ ਇੱਕ-ਦੂਜੇ ਦੀ ਤੁਲਨਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਾ ਦੇਖਿਆ ਜਾਏ ਸਗੋਂ ਨਾਮਜ਼ਦ ਮੈਂਬਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਆਪਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਗੱਲ ਕਰਕੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਕਿਸੇ ਇੱਕ ਨੂੰ ਚੁਣਨ ਦਾ ਮੌਕਾ ਦੇਣਾ ਇਕ ਸਹੀ ਉਪਰਾਲਾ ਰਹੇਗਾ। ਇਸ ਤਰੀਕੇ ਨਾਲ ਕਿਸੇ ਸਿੱਟੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਨਾ ਪਹੁੰਚਣ ਦੇ ਹਾਲਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੋਈ ਹੋਰ ਪ੍ਰਕ੍ਰਿਆ ਅਪਣਾਈ ਜਾਵੇਗੀ। ਪਰ ਇਸਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਹੀ ਇਹ ਦੇਖਣਾ ਵੀ ਜ਼ਰੂਰੀ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਨਾਮਜ਼ਦ ਹੋਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਮੈਂਬਰ ਕੁਝ ਨਿਮਨਤਮ ਸ਼ਰਤਾਂ ਦੀ ਪੂਰਤੀ ਜ਼ਰੂਰ ਕਰਨ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਕਿ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਵਿਕੀਮੀਡੀਅਨਜ਼ ਯੂਜ਼ਰ ਗਰੁੱਪ ਦੀਆਂ ਆਫਲਾਈਨ ਗਤੀਵਿਧੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਰਗਰਮ ਯੋਗਦਾਨ ਪਾਉਣਾ ਅਤੇ ਇਸ ਯੂਜ਼ਰ ਗਰੁੱਪ ਨੂੰ ਇੱਕ ਸੰਸਥਾ ਵਜੋਂ ਸਥਾਪਿਤ ਕਰਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਯੋਗਦਾਨ ਪਾਉਣਾ। ਇਸਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਨਾਲ ਇਹ ਸੁਨਿਸ਼ਚਿਤ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਕਿ ਵਿਅਕਤੀਗਤ ਸਮੇਂ ਦੀ ਜਿੰਨਾ ਵੀ ਹੋ ਸਕੇ ਉੱਤਮ ਵਰਤੋਂ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾਵੇ, ਸਿਰਫ ਉਹ ਨੁਮਾਇੰਦੇ ਡੈਲੀਗੇਟ ਭੇਜਣ ਲਈ ਕਿਹਾ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਅੰਦੋਲਨ ਦੀ ਰਣਨੀਤੀ ਪ੍ਰਕਿਰਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਡਰਾਫਟ ਸਿਫਾਰਸ਼ਾਂ ਦੀ ਚੰਗੀ ਸਮਝ ਰੱਖਦੇ ਹਨ, ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਅੰਦੋਲਨ ਦੇ ਹਰ ਹਿੱਸੇ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਡੇ ਸਹਿਭਾਗੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਸਹਿਯੋਗ ਨਾਲ ਸਿਫਾਰਸ਼ਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਡਿਜ਼ਾਈਨ ਕਰਨ ਅਤੇ ਲਾਗੂ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਜ਼ਿੰਮੇਵਾਰੀ ਲੈਣ ਲਈ ਤਿਆਰ ਹਨ।

ਸਮਾਂ ਘੱਟ ਹੋਣ ਕਰਕੇ ਸਿਰਫ਼ 14 ਦਸੰਬਰ ਤੱਕ ਹੀ ਨਾਮਜ਼ਦਗੀਆਂ ਪਾਈਆਂ ਜਾ ਸਕਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ। ਸਮੇਂ ਦੀ ਘਾਟ ਲਈ ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਮੁਆਫ਼ੀ ਮੰਗਦੀ ਹਾਂ।

ਨਾਮਜ਼ਦ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਆਪਣੇ ਬਾਰੇ ਅਤੇ ਸੰਸਥਾ ਲਈ ਆਪਣੇ ਕੰਮ ਬਾਰੇ ਦੱਸਣ। ਇਸਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਹੀ ਉਹ ਇਹ ਵੀ ਦੱਸਣ ਕਿ ਇਸ ਕਾਨਫਰੰਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਹ ਕੀ ਸਿੱਖਣਾ ਚਾਹੁੰਦੇ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਵਾਪਿਸ ਆਕੇ ਕੀ-ਕੀ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਇੱਛਾ ਰੱਖਦੇ ਹਨ।

ਨਾਮਜ਼ਦਗੀ 1[edit]

Hi there, I started reading Wikipedia during my graduation in 2013, but at the time I didn't make any edits on Wikipedia, but when I found out that we can create or edit articles on Wikipedia then I started creating and editing articles on Wikipedia. Meanwhile, I participated in Project Tiger 2018 and created 38 articles in this competition. Gradually I became acquainted with the Punjabi wiki community.

I have been a part of Project Tiger 2018 training in Amritsar. In February 2019, I had a wiki meet up in my hometown of Bagha Purana. I am also contributing as a jury member in Project Tiger 2.0.

Currently I am working as a Wikimedian-in-Residence at SEABA School, Lahargaga. My job at school is to involve students in various Wiki projects according to their interest. While working at school, I have started a project with school children to convert the books of Wikisource into audio-books, and as part of this project I have also produced an audio version of a complete Wikisource book. In addition to this I have been hosting various wiki events for children. In November, Manavpreet Kaur and I organized the Armenia Punjabi Wiki Collaboration 2019 edit-a-thon, which gave students the opportunity to understand the culture of Armenia and to gain more knowledge of their customs. The students involved in the program created 32 articles about Armenian culture that developed their understanding of Wikipedia's work on Wikipedia and the use of Wikipedia's Content Translation.

Recently, I, along with Punjabi Wikimedians Rupika Sharma, Hardarshan Benipal and Charan Gill organized a Wikisource Competition in school. The program involved 30 students and they learned about online proofing.

As this year's Wiki Summit is based on the Movement Strategy for the Wikimedia Foundation and its affiliated organizations, I will learn about the Global Strategy Process and I will work on new policies, especially in the field of education, for the development of Punjabi User Group. I will endeavor to set up a Punjabi user group as an organization so that in the future the Punjabi community can function more effectively in any governmental or non-governmental organization.

I will study the recommendations of the Capacity Building and Partnerships Working Groups mainly in the Punjabi community. In building capacity I will work on the following:

goals for investing in capacity building in Punjabi community
Understand what capabilities we need in the community
development of leadership skills to build leadership and expertise in Punjabi Community

My work in partnerships will focus on:

Opportunities and challenges associated with partnering at the local, regional and global levels
Collaborate with other organizations and movements to advance our movement.

ਮੈਂ 2013 ਵਿੱਚ ਆਪਣੀ ਗਰੈਜੂਏਸ਼ਨ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਵਿਕੀਪੀਡੀਆ ਪੜ੍ਹਨਾ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਕੀਤਾ ਸੀ ਪਰ ਉਸ ਸਮੇਂ ਮੈਂ ਵਿਕੀਪੀਡੀਆ ‘ਤੇ ਕੋਈ ਸੋਧ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਦਾ ਸੀ ਪਰ ਜਦੋਂ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਪਤਾ ਲੱਗਾ ਕਿ ਅਸੀਂ ਵਿਕੀਪੀਡੀਆ ‘ਤੇ ਆਰਟੀਕਲ ਬਣਾ ਜਾਂ ਸੁਧਾਰ ਵੀ ਸਕਦੇ ਹਾਂ ਤਾਂ ਮੈ ਵਿਕੀਪੀਡੀਆ ‘ਤੇ ਲੇਖ ਬਣਾਉਣੇ ਅਤੇ ਸੋਧ ਕਰਨੇ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤੇ। ਇਸੇ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਮੈਂ ਪ੍ਰਾਜੈਕਟ ਟਾਈਗਰ 2018 ਵਿੱਚ ਭਾਗ ਲਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਇਸ ਮੁਕਾਬਲੇ ਵਿੱਚ 38 ਲੇਖ ਬਣਾਏ। ਹੌਲੀ ਹੌਲੀ ਮੇਰੀ ਜਾਣ ਪਛਾਣ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਵਿਕੀ ਭਾਈਚਾਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਹੋਈ।

ਮੈਂ ਪ੍ਰਾਜੈਕਟ ਟਾਈਗਰ 2018 ਦੀ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤਸਰ ਵਿਖੇ ਹੋਈ ਟ੍ਰੇਨਿੰਗ ਦਾ ਹਿੱਸਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਹਾਂ। ਫਰਵਰੀ 2019 ਵਿੱਚ ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਬਾਘੇ ਪੁਰਾਣੇ ਵਿਚ ਇੱਕ ਵਿਕੀ ਮੀਟ ਅੱਪ ਕਰਵਾਇਆ। ਮੈਂ ਪ੍ਰਾਜੈਕਟ ਟਾਈਗਰ 2.0 ਵਿੱਚ ਜਿਉਰੀ ਮੈਬਰ ਦੇ ਤੌਰ ਤੇ ਯੋਗਦਾਨ ਵੀ ਦੇ ਰਿਹਾ ਹਾਂ।

ਫਿਲਹਾਲ ਮੈਂ ਸੀਬਾ ਸਕੂਲ ਲਹਿਰਾਗਾਗਾ ਵਿਖੇ Wikimedian-in-Residence ਦੇ ਤੌਰ ‘ਤੇ ਕੰਮ ਕਰ ਰਿਹਾ ਹਾਂ। ਸੀਬਾ ਸਕੂਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੇਰਾ ਕੰਮ ਬੱਚਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਵਿਕੀ ਪ੍ਰਾਜੈਕਟਾਂ ਬਾਰੇ ਕਰਵਾਉਣਾ ਅਤੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਰੁਚੀ ਦੇ ਹਿਸਾਬ ਨਾਲ ਵਿਕੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਸ਼ਾਮਲ ਕਰਨਾ ਹੈ। ਸੀਬਾ ਸਕੂਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੰਮ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਮੈਂ ਸਕੂਲ ਦੇ ਬੱਚਿਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਲ ਕੇ ਵਿਕੀਸਰੋਤ ਦੀਆਂ ਕਿਤਾਬਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਡੀਓ ਰੂਪ ਵਿੱਚ ਤਬਦੀਲ ਕਰਨ ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਾਜੈਕਟ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਇਸ ਪ੍ਰਾਜੈਕਟ ਦੇ ਹਿੱਸੇ ਵਜੋਂ ਮੈਂ ਵਿਕੀਸਰੋਤ ਦੀ ਇੱਕ ਪੂਰੀ ਕਿਤਾਬ ਦਾ ਆਡੀਓ ਵਰਜਨ ਵੀ ਤਿਆਰ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ। ਇਸਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਹੀ ਮੈਂ ਬੱਚਿਆਂ ਲਈ ਵੱਖੋ ਵੱਖਰੇ ਵਿਕੀ ਈਵੈਂਟ ਵੀ ਕਰਵਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਹਾਂ। ਨਵੰਬਰ ਮਹੀਨੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੈਂ ਅਤੇ ਮਾਨਵਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਕੌਰ ਨੇ ਆਰਮੇਨਿਆ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਵਿਕੀ ਸਾਂਝ 2019 ਐਡਿਟਾਥੋਨ ਕਰਵਾਇਆ ਜਿਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਰਮੇਨਿਆ ਦੇ ਸਭਿਆਚਾਰ ਬਾਰੇ ਸਮਝਣ ਦਾ ਮੌਕਾ ਮਿਲਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਰਿਵਾਜਾਂ ਬਾਰੇ ਵਧੇਰੇ ਗਿਆਨ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਹਾਇਤਾ ਮਿਲੀ। ਇਸ ਪ੍ਰੋਗਰਾਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਸ਼ਾਮਲ ਹੋਏ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਆਰਮੇਨਿਆ ਸਭਿਆਚਾਰ ਬਾਰੇ 32 ਲੇਖ ਬਨਾਏ ਜਿਸ ਨਾਲ ਉਹਨਾ ਦੀ ਵਿਕੀਪੀਡਿਆ ‘ਤੇ ਕੰਮ ਕਰਨ ਅਤੇ ਵਿਕੀਪੀਡਿਆ ਦੇ ਟੂਲ Contant Translation ਨੂੰ ਵਰਤਣ ਦੀ ਸਮਝ ਵਿਕਸਿਤ ਹੋਈ।

ਹਾਲ ਹੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੈਂ, ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਵਿਕੀਮੀਡੀਅਨ ਰੁਪਿਕਾ ਸ਼ਰਮਾ, ਹਰਦਰਸ਼ਨ ਬੈਨੀਪਾਲ ਅਤੇ ਚਰਨ ਗਿੱਲ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਲ ਕੇ ਸਕੂਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਿਕੀਸਰੋਤ ਮਹਾਂ ਮੁਕਾਬਲੇ ਦਾ ਆਯੋਜਨ ਕੀਤਾ। ਇਸ ਪ੍ਰੋਗਰਾਮ ਵਿੱਚ 30 ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀ ਸ਼ਾਮਲ ਹੋਏ ਅਤੇ ਓਹਨਾਂ ਨੇ ਆਨਲਾਇਨ ਪਰੂਫਰੀਡਿੰਗ ਬਾਰੇ ਸਿੱਖਿਆ।

ਜਿਵੇਂ ਕਿ ਇਸ ਸਾਲ ਵਿਕੀ ਸਮਿਟ ਵਿਕੀਮੀਡੀਆ ਫਾਉਂਡੇਸ਼ਨ ਅਤੇ ਇਸਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਜੁੜੇ ਸੰਗਠਨਾਂ ਲਈ ਮੂਵਮੈਂਟ ਸਟਰੈਟਜੀ 'ਤੇ ਅਧਾਰਿਤ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਮੈਂ ਗਲੋਬਲ ਸਟਰੈਟਜੀ ਪ੍ਰੋਸੈਸ ਬਾਰੇ ਸਿੱਖਾਂਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਯੂਜ਼ਰ ਗਰੁੱਪ ਦੇ ਵਿਕਾਸ, ਖਾਸ ਤੌਰ ‘ਤੇ ਸਿੱਖਿਆ ਦੇ ਖੇਤਰ ਵਿੱਚ, ਲਈ ਨਵੀਆਂ ਨੀਤੀਆਂ ‘ਤੇ ਕੰਮ ਕਰਾਂਗਾ। ਮੇਰੀ ਕੋਸ਼ਿਸ਼ ਰਹੇਗੀ ਕਿ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਯੂਜ਼ਰ ਗਰੁੱਪ ਨੂੰ ਸੰਸਥਾ (organization) ਦੇ ਰੂਪ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਥਾਪਿਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾਵੇ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਭਵਿੱਖ ਵਿੱਚ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਭਾਈਚਾਰਾ ਕਿਸੇ ਵੀ ਸਰਕਾਰੀ ਜਾਂ ਗੈਰ ਸਰਕਾਰੀ ਸੰਸਥਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੋਰ ਵੀ ਵਧੇਰੇ ਤਰੀਕੇ ਨਾਲ ਕੰਮ ਕਰ ਸਕੇ।

ਮੈਂ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਭਾਈਚਾਰੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੁੱਖ ਤੌਰ ‘ਤੇ ਸਮਰੱਥਾ ਨਿਰਮਾਣ (Capacity Building) ਅਤੇ ਸਾਂਝੇਦਾਰੀਆਂ (Partnerships) ਵਰਕਿੰਗ ਗਰੁਪਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਸਿਫ਼ਾਰਿਸ਼ਾਂ ਦਾ ਅਧਿਐਨ ਕਰਕੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ‘ਤੇ ਕੰਮ ਕਰਾਂਗਾ। ਸਮਰੱਥਾ ਨਿਰਮਾਣ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੈਂ ਹੇਠ ਲਿਖੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ‘ਤੇ ਕੰਮ ਕਰਾਂਗਾ:

ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਭਾਈਚਾਰੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਮਰੱਥਾ ਵਧਾਉਣ ਵਿਚ ਨਿਵੇਸ਼ ਕਰਨਾ
ਇਹ ਸਮਝਣਾ ਕਿ ਭਾਈਚਾਰੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਕਿਹੜੀਆਂ ਸਮਰੱਥਾਵਾਂ ਦੀ ਜ਼ਰੂਰਤ ਹੈ
ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਭਾਈਚਾਰੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਗਵਾਈ ਅਤੇ ਮੁਹਾਰਤ ਬਣਾਉਣ ਲਈ

ਮੈਂ ਐਫ਼ ਕਾਮ ਮੈਂਬਰ ਵਜੋਂ ਸਲਾਨਾ ਮੀਟਿੰਗ ਵਿੱਚ ਸ਼ਾਮਿਲ ਹੋਣਾ ਹੈ। ਮੈਂ ਅੰਦੋਲਨ ਰਣਨੀਤੀ ਦੀ ਸਮਝ ਵੀ ਰੱੱਖਦੀ ਹਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਯੂੂਜ਼ਰ ਗਰੁੱਪ ਦੇ ਕਈ ਉਪਰਾਲਿਆ ਦੀ ਮੋਢੀ ਤੇ ਹਿਸਾ ਵੀ ਰਹੀ ਹਾਂ। ਜੇਕਰ ਮੇੇਰੀ ਨਾਮਜ਼ਦਗੀ ਤੋਂ ਇਤਰਾਜ਼ ਨਾ ਹੋੋੋਵੇ ਤਾਂ ਮੈੈਂ ਸਮਿਟ ਵਿਚ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਭਆਈਚਾਰੇ ਦੀ ਨੁਮਾਇਨਦਗੀ ਕਰਨਾ ਚਾਹਾਂਗੀ। ਧਨਵਾਦ -Manavpreet Kaur (talk) 18:28, 14 December 2019 (UTC)ਰਨ[reply]

ਨਾਮਜ਼ਦਗੀ 3[edit]

I am on Wikipedia since 2014. I mainly work on Punjabi Wikisource. I try to attend nearly every meet-up if possible and I attended about 10 to 15 events. I organized four Wikisource related workshop in my town. I also encourage other people nearby me to join the Wiki projects and work for the movement. If I will be selected as a representative of Punjabi Wikimedians in Wikimedia Summit 2020, this will boost my confidence level and help me understand global movement and will shape my initiatives for a more productive outcome.
