[edit]- Campaign Briefing (Kuldeep)
Kuldeep led a talk on the Wikipedia Asian Month (WAM) 2025 campaign. He explained the campaign's significance and historical context. WAM focuses on encouraging contributors to create new Wikipedia articles about Asian topics. For the 2025 edition, the campaign has a specialized thematic focus on rituals, folk songs, and festivals of Asia.
- Outreach and Wikisource Updates (Harpreet)
Harpreet provided an update on her ongoing outreach efforts. Her work with the Seaba School continues, with a strong emphasis on introducing and building contributions to Punjabi Wikisource. This initiative is key to expanding the number of young contributors and digitizing local-language texts.
- Advanced Training Experience (Taman)
Taman shared her insights and experiences from attending the Advanced Train the Trainer (ATTT) program. This training, organized in Hyderabad by the Open Knowledge Initiatives (OKI) team at IIIT Hyderabad, focused on advanced skills for leading community training sessions. Taman’s report highlighted new methodologies and best practices she learned, which she plans to implement in future Punjabi Wikimedia training workshops.
