Who should attend QW2026?
[edit]QW2026 is open to all queer wikimedians and allies who believe in diversity and inclusion, alongside open knowledge volunteers and academics specializing in LGBT+ topics. We especially welcome:
- Wikimedia contributors dedicated to closing language and gender gaps, as well as local organizers leading initiatives to support queer community engagement and content representation.
- Wikimedians representing the Global South, ensuring a diverse range of geographical perspectives and experiences.
- Open knowledge advocates, including librarians, LGBT+ activists, and researchers who are actively producing or curating inclusive academic and public resources.
We recognize the vast spectrum of terms and acronyms used to describe the diversity of sexualities, gender identities, and expressions. In this spirit, we use 'queer' as an inclusive umbrella term to embrace all individuals who see themselves as part of these communities.
All participants are expected to read and abide by the Friendly Space Policy.
