Queering Wiki 2026 is a global gathering for queer contributors across Wikimedia projects and free knowledge. It is a space to connect, collaborate, and collectively advance representation and equity for queer communities within the Wikimedia ecosystem.

The 2026 edition will take place 23–25 October in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, bringing together participants from around the world. Both members of Wikimedia organizations and also those with no prior Wikimedia organizational participation are invited.

Objectives

• Build capacity for LGBTQ+ Wikimedians through skill-sharing and workshops

• Strengthen LGBTQ+ representation across Wikimedia projects

• Foster global connections among LGBTQ+ Wikimedia contributors and allies

• Create safer, inclusive spaces within and beyond Wikimedia communities

• Gotovo Call for Scholarships: 9–30 April
• Gotovo Call for Speakers: 12 May-June 30
• Gotovo Announcement of scholarships results: End of May
• Gotovo Participants registration: June-July -- The conference is sold out!
