The project could not be executed as planned due to an unforeseen strike at Gombe State University, which made it impossible to carry out any activities during the project timeline.

Outcome

Conduct two training sessions and one editathon.	No activities were conducted.	The university strike prevented all planned events from taking place.
Engage 35 participants and recruit 10 new editors.	No participants were engaged, and no new editors were recruited.	The university strike disrupted engagement plans, and student participation was not possible.
Upload 50 images and add 200 photos to Wikipedia articles.	No images or photos were uploaded to Wikipedia.	The strike prevented project implementation and contributions to Wikimedia projects.

What worked well?

Despite the challenges, the coordination with Wikimedia User Group Nigeria and the clear project plan were beneficial in ensuring a smooth refund process.

What did not work so well?

he unforeseen university strike was beyond our control and caused a total halt in project implementation.

What would you do differently next time?

Future projects will consider alternative timelines or backup plans to mitigate risks associated with academic strikes or similar disruptions.
