Did you meet your goals? Are you happy with how the project went?

Yes, we met our goals and very happy with how the project went. The Wikiquote event organized by the University of Ilorin Fan Club served as the final event of the session. It aimed to increase the visibility of Nigerian legal practitioners on the Wikiquote platform.

The event featured a physical training session where new participants were introduced to what Wikiquote entails and were guided on how to edit and contribute effectively.

Overall, the event was an impactful one, culminating in an engaging edit-a-thon that allowed participants to put their learning into practice.

What worked well? Achieved core targets: new editors quickly began making valuable contributions.

Hands‑on sessions on Wikipedia sparked sustained engagement after the event. Clear task delegation within the exec team kept day‑of logistics smooth.

What did not work so well? A few avoidable hiccups surfaced because some internal processes weren’t fully streamlined.
What would you do differently next time? Secure funding earlier to widen pre‑event publicity, refine planning, and deepen participant outreach.

The entire budget of NGN 281,000 was fully utilized for its intended purposes to ensure the smooth execution and success of the project. Every item on the budget was strictly followed:

T-shirts (NGN 21,000): Provided branded shirts for 3 team members to enhance visibility and team identity during the event.

Camera Rental & Photography (NGN 30,000): Covered documentation and media coverage for accountability and promotion.

E-fliers, Graphics & Projector Rental (NGN 40,000): Used for publicity and effective visual presentation during the event.

Appreciation Prizes (NGN 50,000): Rewarded the top five contributors and gave out consolation prizes to motivate participation.

Contingency, Miscellaneous & Logistics (NGN 20,000): Addressed transport, refreshments, and unexpected costs to keep the event running smoothly.

In summary, we spent the entire budget as planned, with each category supporting the core goals of the project.
