Goals
[edit]Did you meet your goals? Are you happy with how the project went? Yes the predicted outcome of the campaign was met and we had more that we expected. The campaign being the second edition aimed to be better as we focused more on the understanding of what wikibooks is all about and the aim was that we have participants who understand the importance and essence of contributing to wikibooks.
But in terms of the level of contribution we fell short as only a few participants contributed to the campaign in terms of edit.
After our online training, we expanded on how participants can effectively contribute to the campaign and how they can participate as an improvement on the first edition. But most of our target participants who are students could not actively participate in the editing and the physical engagement during campaign.
Overall, the campaign was successful in terms of it goal and its focus but there is room for improvement especially with the aim of building a community where participants can effectively contribute to wikibooks in Nigeria.

Learning
[edit]Projects do not always go according to plan. Sharing what you learned can help you and others plan similar projects in the future. Help the movement learn from your experience by answering the following questions:
- What worked well?
The training was effectively compared to the first edition and we were able to expand our knowledge and training capabilities as we invited other experienced contributors to train participants online. We asked participants what they learnt and what we have to improve on and they gave us a feedback that helped the event in terms of training impact.
- What did not work so well?
The contribution during the edit a thon. We didn’t get participation from the participants due to their engagement with academics during this period. This made us not meet our expectations outside the planed and written goals.
- What would you do differently next time?
The goal of the campaign is to see active participation and contribution To the wikibooks as a sister project. We now aim to shift our attention not only on student but also people in the academic community and field expand our collaboration and engagement with NGOs,fanclubs and also ministries to enable more people engage in this project and contribute to the project and also as a form of awareness. During the Next edition of the wikibooks Nigeria.

Refreshment and Take away pack (2000*25) : NGN 50,000
Branding and T shirts for Facilitators (2*6000) :NGN 12,000
Airtime for Communication(2000*2 = 4,000) + Transportation (4000*2 = 8,000) + data for facilitators (4,000*2 = 8,000): NGN 20,000
Camera rental and photography : NGN 15,000
Prizes for top 5 contributors (10,000*5) : NGN 50,000
Contigencies , Miscellaneous and Logistics: NGN 20,000
TOTAL : NGN 217,000
Expenses done during the event
Venue was rented at NGN 50,000 at the Bukatee Lagos and the project was rented also as part of the fee.
Food for participants and was at NGN 2,500 *20 participants. (Total NGN 50,000)
Prize vouchers was given to top 3 participants. Worth NGN 20,000 for both first and second while third top contributor received a voucher worth NGN 10,000 total NGN 50,000
The shirt was printed at NGN 21,000 for 3 shirt(NGN 7,000) as we gave the last top contributor a consolation prize. While the remaining 2 shirt was for the trainers.
The total of NGN 30,000 was used to cover the transportation of the trainers, to identify the venue and also as logistics for some participants to the venue.
The camera rental was NGN 16,000 to take pictures, edit and covering the training.
Miscellaneous was totaled at NGN 10,000 this was for charges during bank transfers.
TOTAL: NGN 227,000

Wikibooks Nigeria is a campaign that aims to create awareness about wikibooks as a sister project. The project expands on the importance of documenting the Nigerian culture, language, and traditions on wikibooks to help non Nigerian learn about our traditions and languages with the oral transfer of knowledge to them.
The project aims to improve and expand on the outcome of the second edition to better the third edition and future editions.
