Requests for comment/Sysop abuse by Mirzali on Zazaki Wiktionary
The following request for comments is closed. This is a case for U4C, not a global RfC. //shb (t • c) 23:53, 15 July 2026 (UTC)
I hope I’m following the template correctly.
Dear Wikimedia Team.
I am worried that the user Mirzali is engaging in sysop abuse at the Zazaki Wiktionary.
I have been blocked indefinitely in the Zazaki Wiktionary without any prior warning on my talk page as far as I can see.
My Zazaki Wiktionary Talk page (link)
The comment for my block is only “Tiya Zazaki nuşiyeno, Kurdki nê…”, in other words, that I am not allowed to write anything in Kurdish.
So far, I’ve made less than 10 edits on the website. I’ve mostly edited on pages about the Kurmanji Kurdish language, since it is my native language, and added a template about adjectives (the positive, comparative and superlative table), so I’ve not made anything complicated, harrassed anyone or written inaccurate information in the Wiktionary.
I do not intend to vandalize or do anything, and as you are able to see on my edit history, I do not engage in harmful behavior, edit-warring and anything else in that regard. I do not intend to break any rules either on the Zazaki Wikipedia - and I have been doing so based on my activity, I still have not gotten any explanation for which rules are broken, and why it warrants an indefinite block.
I cannot explain myself on my own or his talk page either. I’ve been blocked on every parameter. So I’m basically view-only.
I think it is a bit worrying that I have gotten no warnings and he has straight-out blocked me from doing anything. That is why I believe it is sysop-abuse, since he is sysop in the Zazaki Wiktionary.
I apologize for any inconvenience, but I cannot see any other solution relevant to this case other than to notify you, the Wikimedia Team.
I would also like to note that Mirzali has gotten past complains about sysop-abuse in other projects also over 10 years ago:
I thank you for taking the time to read my request, and I hope you will consider resolving this issue about user blocking.
Best regards Kurdanparez
—— This is a new comment. I would just like to give some context, if you are interested, in a recent discussion page in the English Wiktionary. Here Mirzali seemingly without evidence has said that I have no credentials or authority to say anything related to Zazas, “since I am a Kurd” and is also generally very hostile in an otherwise mostly calm discussion.
I believe this is important context in regards to why he has chosen to block me from the Zazaki Wiktionary.Kurdanparez (talk) 00:13, 8 July 2026 (UTC)
