This language has been verified as eligible. The language is eligible for a project, which means that the subdomain can be created once there is an active community and a localized interface, as described in the language proposal policy. - The community needs to develop an active test project; it must remain active until approval (automated statistics, recent changes). It is generally considered active if the analysis lists at least three active, not-grayed-out editors listed in the sections for the previous few months.
- The community needs to complete required MediaWiki interface translations in that language (about localization, translatewiki, check completion).

Arguments against[edit]
- Oppose As it is considered as a Bengali dialect and Bengali Wikipedia is already available there. The speakers of this dialect can easily understand, read and write Standard Bengali also. Snusho (talk) 22:46, 08 July 2023 (UTC)

- Neutral This language community has millions of users, as mentioned here. There was a discussion between the BN language community and the CTG language community. It seems like, after the heated discussion, the CTG community refused to write in the Bengali-Assamese alphabet, they were using the Chittagong alphabet based on the Bengali-Assamese script (see Omniglot documentation). As the BN community opposed and raised the issue of fundamental research, later native CTG users left the project. A formal opinion of the Wikimedia Language committee, in this matter is unknown. An edit war took place (check the redirects) between these two groups, regarding which orthography to use, BN or CTG.
