This language has been verified as eligible. The language is eligible for a project, which means that the subdomain can be created once there is an active community and a localized interface, as described in the language proposal policy. You can discuss the creation of this language project on this page.
Once the criteria are met, the language committee can proceed with the approval, will verify the test project content with a reliable neutral source, such as a professor or expert and notify the Board of Trustees for a possible veto.
If you think the criteria are met, but the project is still waiting for approval, feel free to notify the committee and ask them to consider its approval.
The community needs to develop an active test project; it must remain active until approval (automated statistics, recent changes). It is generally considered active if the analysis lists at least three active, not-grayed-out editors listed in the sections for the previous few months.
"Wikipedia talk" (the discussion namespace of the project namespace)
Default is "no". Preferably, files should be uploaded to Commons.
If you want, you can enable local file uploading, either by any user ("yes") or by administrators only ("admin"). Notes: (1) This setting can be changed afterwards. The setting can only be "yes" or "admin" at approval if the test creates an Exemption Doctrine Policy (EDP) first. (2) Files on Commons can be used on all Wikis. (3) Uploading fair-use images is not allowed on Commons (more info). (4) Localisation to your language may be insufficient on Commons.
According to Ethnologuehac is a code for all Gorani dialects (not just for Hawrami) and there are less than 50.000 of speakers in Iran and Iraq, both. Would it be more useful to make Gorani Wikipedia? --Millosh 05:28, 12 April 2010 (UTC)
The project is eligible now. The next steps are:
Go to Translatewiki "Getting started" page and start with translation of the MediaWiki interface. --Millosh 03:13, 4 November 2010 (UTC)
New Wikipedia request for Gorani Language. Gorani language is spoken in Iran and Iraq by Goranis but there is not yet Gorani Wikipedia. Needs a Wikipedia for Goranis.

Support I support this project, but Gorani is not the same Hewrami, it has two main dialects: Northern dialect is Hewrami, and the southern one is Gorani. Southern Gorani has several sub-dialects such as Gewrecuyi, Gawareyi, Biwenici, .... The southern dialect is also so close to Leki and Zangeneyi, and although it is not researched, but in my opinion we should consider Leki the southern dialect of Gorani language.Paraw (talk) 10:25, 17 January 2019 (UTC)
Hawrami is listed as a dialect of Gorani. We presume that this project will include all dialects of Gorani. For LangCom: StevenJ81 (talk) 14:14, 13 June 2019 (UTC)
