  • Relevant infos: en:Nadsat is a variant of English used by Alex and his "droogs" in en:A Clockwork Orange. Nadsat has more Russian loanwords than regular English. I can understand Russian as well as English (and of course, my native Romanian,) so I know what most of the Russian borrowings mean. NazismIsntCool 07:30, 12 Jun 2005 (UTC)
    • NazismIsntCool, if I were you, I would host it on Wikicities. And besides, you have horrorshow l33t sk1llz. (last sentence a mixture of English, Nadsat, and l33t) Scott Gall 07:38, 12 Jun 2005 (UTC)
  • Would be cool to have a Nadsat-Wikipedia as well but I think the language so far is not as well developed to make thereof a Wikipedia. Tiontai 20:04, 16 Jun 2005 (UTC)
    • Agreed. --Node ue 16:49, 17 Jun 2005 (UTC)
      • Nadsat, cool as it is, is just a cant of English. The things expressable in it are limited without reverting totally to English. If not Nadsat, then why not a Polari wiki? Or a cockney wiki? Or a thieve's cant wiki. Etc. I do not support this idea. :) BryanAJParry
        • Leet is also a cant of English. With some of these languages, we can't be too careful of POV pushers. If we had a Leet WP, then hackers would write "HA HA THE DEMOCRATS WERE PWNED" or similar if the Republicans win the 2008 election or "WHY DID THOSE **** DEMOCRATS HAVE TO PWN OUR PARTY" if the Democrats won. Scott Gall 05:44, 24 Jun 2005 (UTC)

Oppose. As Bryan says, a cant of English such as is not suitable for a Wikipedia. Keeno 14:06, 16 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
