This language has been verified as eligible. The language is eligible for a project, which means that the subdomain can be created once there is an active community and a localized interface, as described in the language proposal policy. You can discuss the creation of this language project on this page.
If you think the criteria are met, but the project is still waiting for approval, feel free to notify the committee and ask them to consider its approval.
A committee member provided the following comment:
This request is eligible. Activity on the test project at Beta Wikiversity has been inconsistent. So if you're serious about this proposal, please get a team together and start working on this more consistently. For LangCom: StevenJ81 (talk) 22:38, 6 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]
The community needs to develop an active test project; it must remain active until approval (automated statistics). It is generally considered active if the analysis lists at least three active, not-grayed-out editors listed in the sections for the previous few months.
"Wikiversity talk" (the discussion namespace of the project namespace)
Default is "no". Preferably, files should be uploaded to Commons.
If you want, you can enable local file uploading, either by any user ("yes") or by administrators only ("admin"). Notes: (1) This setting can be changed afterwards. The setting can only be "yes" or "admin" at approval if the test creates an Exemption Doctrine Policy (EDP) first. (2) Files on Commons can be used on all Wikis. (3) Uploading fair-use images is not allowed on Commons (more info). (4) Localisation to your language may be insufficient on Commons.
The Vietnamese Wikipedia is one of the largest Wikipedias and the incubator project for Wikiversity is very active. It is not to mention that Vietnamese has more than 80 million speakers worldwide. I am very appalled that no request has been made despite the dynamism of the incubation project.
Recently, a lot of students need documents to prepare for final exams, they don't know where to get them from? I think Wikiversity is the most reliable place for students to study and review. So far, Wikiversity has more than 1,200 articles containing Vietnamese language at Wikiversity Beta. This is really a very large number, I think we should open the Vietnamese version for Wikiversity! :-) -Best! -Check it in here. Thanks
:-) -Best! -Kiểm tra nó tại đây. Thân mến
Strong support With over 90 million native speakers as of 2018, there will likely be a sizeable number of Vietnamese students who willingly contribute to this project. As with many other projects at the beginning, the initial phase of Vietnamese Wikiversity will probaly consist of translations from other existing Wikiversities. But after that, original Vietnamese contents will definitely develop too.--阿talk 00:48, 5 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Support I am also a Vietnamese student, I really need it to study for the semester exams. Cinderace Galar (talk)

Support I have contributed to this project and I found the inportance of this project. In addition, it is a very helpful project because of the free study tools Nothing I Can't (talk) 04:31, 5 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Support I support this idea very much. In Vietnamese wikipedia, a large number of users is student, so wikiversity will be a perfect place for them. Mintu Martin (talk) 06:03, 5 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Support Great idea! This is the perfect time to launch Vietnamese Wikiversity when university and college students are writing articles on Wikipedia for "homework". Q.Khải (talk) 03:05, 6 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
