Research talk:Community portal redesign/Opentask

Comments[edit]

  1. We should supply absolute numbers for first opentask funnel chart as well as percents
  2. We should try and get a rough baseline for comparison at the top of the funnel by using pageviews, available at http://stats.grok.se/en/latest30/Wikipedia:Community_portal

Absolute numbers added. I don't have exact numbers from the first stage (unique clicks), but the historical baseline is about 80k for 11 days.
The problem with using pageviews is that they're not unique, so it's an even rougher metric to judge against. Maryana (WMF) (talk) 00:03, 31 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Just noticed I left off a zero in the unique clicks --> unique accepts conversion in the graph! Image fixed now. Maryana (WMF) (talk) 00:09, 31 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Even something slightly flawed like comparing unique clicks out of pageviews is still more insightful than nothing as a baseline. Steven Walling (WMF) • talk 18:56, 31 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Also, per my comment inline ("Add timespan here") we should note in the results how long the data collection went on for. Steven Walling (WMF) • talk 21:54, 31 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]
