Student plagiarism[edit]

Could it simply be that student plagiarism is harder to pick up? They are more often using sources behind a firewall which may not show up with a google search. None students would more likely be using easier to find sources and thus their plagiarism would be easier to detect. Was grammarly able to accommodate for this? Doc James: The short answer is maybe. At least some paywalled sources showed up among the hits, but we haven't been able to find good information about the extent of what is and is not indexed by the Yahoo database Grammarly uses. See this discussion and this one for a bit more.--Sage Ross (WMF) (talk) 16:23, 13 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Yes with respect to the U of T issue I had to pull up the sources the refed in full through my University to find the passages that they copy and pasted much of the time. Doc James (talk · contribs · email) 20:23, 13 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]
