10/2023 WMDE and WMID dissolved the partnership. Read the joint statement by WMID and WMDE on the Activities page. Together with a freelance software team as part of the joint software collaboration, WMDE continues supporting their work on lexicographical data in Wikidata.
09/11 The Igbo Usergroup (IGUG) team attended the wiki conference Francophone 23 where they introduced a lot of the francophone communities to Wiki Mentor Africa.

11/01/2022: We are preparing updates for the movement on various challenges on this project and are having first talks with groups and people who are interested in being a part of this partnership.
03/01/2022: The internal consultations at WMDE were completed. We now have a better understanding of what is important to us in this future collaboration and what kind of values and visions we are following in this project.
