This is not a vote and any active Wikimedia editor may participate in the discussion.

Successful global rollback requests require no fewer than 5 days of discussion, while successful global renamer and global sysop discussions require no fewer than 2 weeks.

Global IP block exempt for Hier[edit]

Due to the Internet connection situation in Mainland China, visiting Wikimedia projects without proxy seems too slow, or even at sometimes not avaliable.

I have got an IP block exemption right in Chinese Wikipedia (zhwiki) granted by one of the SysOp; However, the IP blockage still confuses me sometimes when editing Wikidata, Wikinews and Wikimedia Commons.

Therefore, I sincerely request for a global IP block exemption given to me which would be very useful. Thanks a lot.Hier (talk) 09:10, 15 August 2017 (UTC)

Global rename for Moheen Reeyad[edit]

Not ending before 23 August 2017 23:19 UTC

I'd like to help out on renaming requested usernames where it meets GRP and to help the only user who has the remaining ability in Bangla Wikipedia. There is regular traffic in our local request page, but not enough users within access to close the renaming requests. I also noticed that there are no global renamers from bnwiki, aswiki and bpywiki. I feel able to do so and aware of all relevant rename policies as well its scope. I am an active Wikimedian on several projects (sometimes as SWMT member) since 2010, and currently have sysop rights on Bengali Wikipedia and Wikimedia Commons; additionally serving as an OTRS agent. Thanks. ~ Moheen (keep talking) 23:19, 9 August 2017 (UTC)

Global rename for Kostas20142[edit]

Not ending before 24 August 2017 17:28 UTC

I am an active editor at en.wikipedia, simple.wikipedia, and a sysop at el.wikiquote. I noticed that there is no global renamer from any Greek project, or at least someone that knows the language. I feel that such a user would be helpful in handling requests involving users with Greek as native language, and that I can successfully take up this role. --Kostas20142 (talk) 17:31, 10 August 2017 (UTC)

clarification: This does not however mean that I intend to handle only this kind of requests --Kostas20142 (talk) 14:19, 11 August 2017 (UTC)

Global rename for It'z DJPerez[edit]

Not ending before 25 August 2017 17:28 UTC

Hello or Salaam! Sorry for the previous blunder I made- I was in a small problem a bit but that's all over. I apply to become a Global Renamer. My reason is being a young editor and a temporary admin in the Swahili Wiktionary who would help in renaming users globally easing the work of the stewards in Meta Wiki. I've been in cross-wiki activities i.e. Simple Wikipedia, Swahili Wikipedia, English Wikipedia and Swahili Wiktionary. This would also provide an opportunity of me being the first Renamer in Swahili Wiktionary, Wikipedia and Simple Wikipedia as there's none. This would also be a great chance in bringing in a new breed of young and vibrant Wikimedia editors. I would be thankful if you gave me the right. Thank you. -- It'zDJPerez (talk) 17:28, 11 August 2017 (UTC)

  • 'BA candidate.svg Weak oppose Thank you for volunteering as a potential global renamer, as well as for your work as temporary sysop. However, I would like to see you gaining a bit more experience before support granting this flag. I would gladly support you however in a few months! Global interface editor for Isarra[edit]

Hi, we're currently in the process of deploying a new skin, Timeless, to Wikimedia projects (T154371), and sometimes there are conflicts with existing stuff, or the default interface messages just don't work for the project, so it'd be good to able to adjust these to sane initial values for the project while rolling it out, especially as this would also make it easier for people on the project itself to find them later and change them again if they so choose.

Would it be possible for me to get global interface editor rights so I can just go ahead and do that?

Thanks. ---— Isarra 17:38, 17 August 2017 (UTC)
