|discussion= SamoaBot is removing interwiki links from pages (once they're all migrated to Wikidata). It is flagged on el.wp and hu.wp, and also active on ia.wp, with over 40,000 contributions in total. I requested a local flag here over a week ago, and made some test edits, but nobody commented upon, and the only two local bureaucrats seems to be inactive since 2011. On br.wiki there aren't other bots to do this task, and I would contribute.

This page hosts requests for a Bot flag on a Wikimedia wiki with no bureaucrats. Please read the instructions before posting a request. Request to remove own permission should be done in SRP.

Please only make request here after gaining the on-wiki approval of your local community (i.e., don't list your bot here if you haven't consulted the local wiki for at least a week, or whatever local policies dictate). Previous requests are archived.

Instructions

Before posting here

Before posting here, please check the following points:

  1. If there is a bureaucrat on the local wiki (visit Special:ListUsers/bureaucrat on the wiki to check): Please ask them to fulfill your request using Special:UserRights on the relevant wiki.
  2. Before requesting access here, make sure to obtain consensus on the local wiki if there is a community (see the index of request pages). If there is no local community, request on this page with a note to that effect. You can ask local bot flag directly here for some wikis in some cases (see automatic approval).
  3. Remember to read the local project's bot policy. This should be linked from the local bot request page; a few are listed below. DO NOT post your request here without having fulfilled the local policies first, and having waited for at least a week to gauge community opinion. In the case that the project does not have a local bot policy, the global bot policy applies.

Making a request

  1. Place the following code at the bottom of the "Bot status requests" section below:
    === Bot name@xxproject ===

    (your remarks) ~~~~

    You can use following form when applying global bot status:

    === Global bot status for <yourbotname> ===

    (your remarks) ~~~~

  2. Fill in the values:
    • 'domain': the wiki's URL domain (like "ex.wikipedia" or "meta.wikimedia").
    • 'user name': the bot's user name (like "ExampleBot"). Leave it blank if you're requesting access for multiple bots.
    • 'discussion': a link to the local vote or discussion about the bot (for example, "ex:Wikipedia:Bots#ExampleBot"). Notes: If there is no local vote or discussion, please say so below the template and explain why not. If there's no community, implement the standard bot policy instead.
  3. If anything is missing from your request, a steward will request more information.

Global bot status requests

Global bots are enabled on most wikis using the standard bot policy (see list of global bot wikis and global bot access requirements). Request will typically be left open for several days to allow comments. Please add requests at the bottom of this section.

Removal of bot status

If a specific user is abusing his/her bot status, you may request removal of the status on his account here. Please be sure to provide a short explanation on the current situation, along with links to the bot's contribution and an announcement in your community of the abuse. Previous requests are archived.

Removal of global bot status

Please see the policy for global bots for the requirements that must be met for global bot access.

Bot status requests

Please add new requests at the bottom of this section.

Bot operators making bulk requests, please consider applying for global bot status and helping implement the standard bot policy on small wikis to simplify and streamline the bulk request process.

EikesBot@roa-rup.wp

I have formerly applied for adminship on the wiki, mainly to delete en masse no-content or spam articles; examples of such articles would be [1] and [2].

My understanding is that bot flags are to be given to real users only temporary, and I am therefore applying here for an actual bot to use. I would like to add that for the bot to be able to accomplish its purpose, it needs the permissions to delete, move or protect pages, similar to those an Administrator status would come with. D'AroemenenZullenNiVergaan (talk) 19:30, 27 March 2013 (UTC)

Since the mass-deletion should hopefully be finished one day, wouldn't it be easier to give a temporary bot flag once again to your normal account? --MF-W 19:33, 27 March 2013 (UTC)
I agree with you, MF-W.--EikesBot (talk) 19:36, 27 March 2013 (UTC)
Yes check.svg Done as proposed by MF-W. Temporary, until the deletion is complete. --თოგო (D) 17:19, 1 April 2013 (UTC)

RLutsBot@ukwikivoyage

I want to replace some templates that we used in Incubator [3], [4]. Using pywikipedia. Also have bot flag on uk.wikipedia. RLuts (talk) 14:11, 31 March 2013 (UTC)

Please, provide a valid link to the discussion. Ruslik (talk) 15:05, 31 March 2013 (UTC)
