Global lock for all the IPs of Janagewen

Status:    In progress

Reasons:

Hello, everyone on meta! This is the locked user Janagewen, just because all my IP segments has been blocked by Barras, so I have to use software Hide My IP to write this lock request. Please lock all my user IPs for the following reasons:

1. Maybe I love Wikipedia.org deadly, so I could not stop reading the interested article such as PAE, x86-64, x86, and many more. All the time I want to make improvement to it, so I could not help myself doing it on talk pages.

2. The very first indef block to me on en.wikipedia.org is a trap!

3. Blocked all my IP addresses could not prevent me from reading articles there, and could not prevent me from visiting Wikipedia.org, only lock could make those possible. The lock could ease the jobs of all the wiki administrators.

4. I dislike simple.wikipedia.org, because so many articles are obviously wrong description, especially Windows XP. People there do not want to correct the mistakes, but eager to kick me out of there without possible reason. Lock my IPs could also ease them from fearing my future corrections on that article too.

5. The block of de.Wikipedia.org is ridiculous and made me lose my passion on products from Germany.

6. The block of ja.Wikipedia.org is essentially a trap, a fool could see it clearly.

7. I have appealed through emails for too many times, and I fear I would not be unblock or unlocked in the future. So ip sock puppet is the only way to make future contributions. I could not stop myself from doing it, when I found something wrong or incorrect, so lock is also a preference to everyone here and there.

Barras knows the detail information on all my IP address segments, so I request him to lock all of them. Please do not reply as "go away", "fuck off", "walk away" or something else. I would not listen, because you are not king or queen, so I won't follow. Please reply with all of my IP addresses locked! Thank you! 148.251.27.102 14:02, 15 February 2015 (UTC) 148.251.27.102 14:02, 15 February 2015 (UTC)

X mark.svg not done at this point of time One would think that the initial response by the wikis would be to block those ranges themselves. Concur with Barras. That someone may bring some value in some areas is not outweighed by the trouble and grief that they bring to multiple communities. This person has no one to blame but themself for their behaviour. Also to note that socking by use of foreign VPS fools no one.  — billinghurst sDrewth 11:51, 8 February 2015 (UTC)
See this section and the below one, I have to say fool could only fool fools! I've never fooled of you both, three or even more, but all of yourselves. You blocked all my IPs and locked all my user accounts. So you should have to know I could only use software, like Hide My IP, to appeal here. Aber es ist sehr schade, if I were you, I won't block or lock someone so easily when there is no payment at all. Also trouble only trouble troubles, so if you are not troubles or why trouble would trouble you them all, as the very first day, I know there is meta on earth? World is so large! I had thought wiki should be large too, but I have to say I made a big mistake. I made a test to user Barras, calling his English skill is worse like a shit, then my user account blocked and locked. Another foolish question still lays here, why should I require a unlock or unblock of my user account at all? The Wikimedia always open doors to everyone, and this lock and block is only a form, and your administrators are only puppets! After language training of myself, I might write a qualified article on computer science, but auch shade, jetzt nur Frei habe ich. So I am free! I am sorry! 192.236.139.139 01:22, 9 February 2015 (UTC) IP from VPN

Global unlock request for stho002

Status:    Done

I have been blocked on enWP and also Wikispecies (for highly dubious reasons, but nevermind that). Now I find that without any warning, explanation or notification or any record I can find, my account has been globally locked!. I have a good record of unproblematic contributions to Commons, which I want to continue. I do not believe that a global lock is warranted, and I request both an explanation and to be unlocked. Thanks ... Stho002 05:09, 21 February 2015 (UTC)

I'm not sure that "crosswiki abuse" is enough of a reason to lock the main account of a former admin who has been contributing to Wikimedia for over 5 years, even if he socked. IMHO, either globally ban or provide some more context for the lock. Of course, my comments don't matter since I'm not a steward, but still: there needs to be more community review of such steward decisions. (Also thanks for answering my questions on Wikispecies) PiRSquared17 (talk) 05:13, 21 February 2015 (UTC)
@Shizhao:, as the locking steward. Snowolf How can I help? 05:14, 21 February 2015 (UTC)
Not a case that would yet qualify for a global lock under the existing criteria. Will leave the locking steward to explain their reasons.  — billinghurst sDrewth 06:43, 21 February 2015 (UTC)
I must object to Billinghurst's continued use of loaded statements (i.e. "yet" in the statement above) in relation to me, which strongly suggest that he anticipates the need for further incremental sysop action against me. He has been dropping hints to the Wikispecies community to the effect that they can rely on him to cooperate in a campaign of incremental humiliation aimed at myself. In my opinion, Billinghurst is unfit to be a steward. Stho002 (talk) 21:00, 21 February 2015 (UTC)
(change visibility) 07:39, 21 February 2015 Billinghurst (talk | contribs | block) changed status for global account "User:Stho002@global": Set (none); Unset locked (generally users should not be locked, communities can manage)
:/
--Vituzzu (talk) 21:09, 21 February 2015 (UTC)
The fact that it was Billinghurst who unlocked me in this case is irrelevant. It does not negate the evidence of his lobbying the Wikispecies community against me. He is simply taking this opportunity to appear "objective". Stho002 (talk) 21:13, 21 February 2015 (UTC)
I believe most of your current disputes are due to this kind of over hasty behaviour. By the way here's all done now since the request to lock you has been eventually rejected. --Vituzzu (talk) 21:22, 21 February 2015 (UTC)
That's what they want you to believe, and you are falling for it. Wikimedia projects are becoming ruled by aggressive sysop mobs, backed up by bad apple stewards. The future is grim indeed ... Stho002 (talk) 21:28, 21 February 2015 (UTC)
That's what you want me to believe. It will took you some times to reverse this route, meanwhile I strongly advise you to avoid getting it worse acting by the spur of the moment. --Vituzzu (talk) 21:36, 21 February 2015 (UTC)
Is that a threat? I'm just saying things as they are ... free speech and all that. You might not agree with me, but there we go... 130.216.201.43 21:42, 21 February 2015 (UTC)
Where in the heck is the threat? --Vituzzu (talk) 22:16, 21 February 2015 (UTC)
"I strongly advise you to ..."< This is standard rhetoric for a veiled threat, as you know. If you want to do something constructive, why don't you get off your lazy ass and actually review the process which led to my indefinite block on Wikispecies, starting from when Franz Xaver called for a review of my admin status. You will find all sorts of abuses of policy and even terms and conditions (including a defamatory/libelous accusation made against me by MPF), and not by me. These abuses have been ignored by all stewards, and even encouraged by Billinghurst. The main offending crat on WS, Dan Koehl, has repeatedly used my block on enWP as evidence against me on WS, despite the fact that he is himself facing a likely indefinite block on svWP! The hypocrisy is astonishing, but nobody wants to get involved. They just back each other up. This brings Wikimedia into disrepute ... Stho002 (talk) 22:23, 21 February 2015 (UTC)

Perhaps a RFC would be a better venue for this discussion. PiRSquared17 (talk) 22:27, 21 February 2015 (UTC)

I am resigned to the fact that it is futile to persue this. This is how Wikimedia works: WMF do not interfere in community disputes. There are both policies and terms and conditions, but these are subject to "discretion". This effectively means that any breaches by its members can be ignored by any group in a community which reaches "critical mass" to be able to dominate, while at the same time, anybody outside that group (mob), who they take a disliking to (e.g. me), gets hammered with all sorts of trivial and even made up supposed policy breaches. Put in such a situation, there is absolutely NOTHING that I can say or do to defend myself, regardless of the rights or wrongs. This is the unfortunate reality. Those who are not directly involved, simply duck for cover, for fear of being next in the firing line. Stho002 (talk) 22:39, 21 February 2015 (UTC)
PS: Wikimedia is giving the young people of today the message that they can get away with just about anything, provided that they have the backing of a sufficiently large group of others. This is very sad. Perhaps Wikimedia was invented by the Mafia! Stho002 (talk) 22:53, 21 February 2015 (UTC)
Closed Closed none of this is relevant to your request to be unlocked, which has been done. This page is not a debating or discussion forum.  — billinghurst sDrewth 22:54, 21 February 2015 (UTC)
