OAuth approval request for WMCH Members wiki

Status:    Done

Some days ago I've submitted this OAuth consumer together with User:Ilario for phabricator:T278135. I've flagged this OAuth consumer with "[X] This consumer is for use only by User:Valerio Bozzolan" in order to have it immediately approved, to do some tests. Now we would like to remove that limitation in order to use that OAuth consumer in production.

Side note: that limitation was not actually useful to do tests. Every OAuth login attempt from https://members.wikimedia.ch was just interrupted with without the ability to pick myself as username and further test, with this early error from Meta-wiki:

[WSOAuth] Server returned error: "Wikimedia CH - members wiki" is an owner-only Connected App. To fetch the access token, see [[Special:OAuthConsumerRegistration/update/11d5fe3ad5fed24527fc78a9b1aa7be0]].

In short. I'm not allowed to delete that OAuth consumer and I'm not allowed to Special:OAuthListConsumers/view/201bfe179854917e1323e3001fb32e2dcreate a new one with the same exact name. I need your help to just remove the "[ ] This consumer is for use only by xxxx" and approve it.

Thank you so much --Valerio Bozzolan (talk) 10:31, 23 April 2021 (UTC)

That flag can't be manually removed. You need to submit a new request, it should work with an updated version number. Majavah (talk!) 10:34, 23 April 2021 (UTC)
OK. Can someone delete that old consumer? --Valerio Bozzolan (talk) 10:36, 23 April 2021 (UTC)
@Valerio Bozzolan: I'm afraid old consumers cannot be deleted. I can (and have) disabled the owner-only consumer as per your request though. I hope that helps. Regards. —MarcoAurelio (talk) 10:42, 23 April 2021 (UTC)
Thank you. So I can proceed in Special:OAuthListConsumers/view/201bfe179854917e1323e3001fb32e2d. --Valerio Bozzolan (talk) 11:21, 23 April 2021 (UTC)
Yes check.svg Done. Approved. Please let us know if it works. —MarcoAurelio (talk) 11:28, 23 April 2021 (UTC)
Yup! Thanks --Valerio Bozzolan (talk) 14:02, 23 April 2021 (UTC)
@Valerio Bozzolan Hello, for the record, non-owner only tokens are also immediately approved, but only for the app publisher. In another words, if you submit an OAuth token, you can immediately use the token to test it, but you would be the only one who's able to login. Martin Urbanec (talk) 20:33, 1 May 2021 (UTC)
