Shrikarsan@ha.wikipedia

X mark.svg Not done. Creating six sock puppets to vote for yourself is not acceptable behaviour for a sysop. QuiteUnusual (talk) 07:41, 14 May 2014 (UTC)
They are not sock puppets. They are my friends and my brother. Plz remove there block in ha wiki.--Shrikarsan (talk) 08:41, 14 May 2014 (UTC)
Are you suggesting 5 friends and your brother all used the same computer to independently create accounts to vote for you in an election? Without any influence from you? Given that these accounts have been used solely for an abusive purpose - vote stacking an election - I will not be unblocking them. QuiteUnusual (talk) 09:06, 14 May 2014 (UTC)

Nahum@hewikisource

Hi! I, he:s:user:Nahum, request CheckUser access as per local vote. Thanks! The preceding unsigned comment was added by Nahum (talk • contribs) 23:22, 1 May 2014‎ (UTC)

Already identified. LlamaAl (talk) 05:14, 2 May 2014 (UTC)
Not done, per the CheckUser policy, which requires at least 25 support votes. I only see 11 votes, including your own vote. "If an insufficient number of voters vote for at least two CheckUsers on a wiki, there will be no CheckUsers on that wiki". Please read and understand the CheckUser policy. Savhñ 06:59, 2 May 2014 (UTC)
Sorry, the relevant policy on our wiki states 10 votes are enough for Checkuser. Did that change? Nahum (talk) 00:35, 6 May 2014 (UTC)
As far as checkuser is concerned stewards apply only the global policy. Ruslik (talk) 05:40, 6 May 2014 (UTC)
+ a project has at least two checkusers or none at all. You may add your CU requests here; stewards will take care of those. Trijnsteltalk 15:14, 8 May 2014 (UTC)
@Nahum: local wikis policies can only be more restrictive/stronger than global policies, not less restrictive or weaker.  — billinghurst sDrewth 06:58, 10 May 2014 (UTC)

Danny B.@cswikiversity

I was asked by a local community member to copy over this request by the local community to remove Danny B.'s sysop access. Looking at v:cs:Special:ActiveUsers, you can see that 100% of the currently active community members (counting users with 1 edit/day during the last 30 days as active, except Danny B. himself) expressed their mistrust in Danny B. and therefore I personally believe this request is reasonable though three users mainly involved in other communites opposed this request. Vogone (talk) 21:47, 9 May 2014 (UTC)

Should the bureaucrat access be removed as well? In addition, is Danny B. going to make any comment here? Ruslik (talk) 03:28, 10 May 2014 (UTC)
For me bureaucrat is an administrator trusted by the majority of the active community. So while Danny B. doesnt have such support I would say its logic to remove also crat acess.--Juandev (talk) 06:31, 10 May 2014 (UTC)
With the animosity surrounding Juandev and Danny B, I think that Juandev should be unheard in this issue, and he should really learn to be quiet.  — billinghurst sDrewth 06:40, 10 May 2014 (UTC)
Excuse me. On the project, where I am one of the biggiest contributor, I should be quite to the local issues? Animosity is not a rare phenomenon on Wikimedia.--Juandev (talk) 05:17, 11 May 2014 (UTC)
Yes, you are the biggiest creator of ballast on cs wikiversity.... we are tired of your repetitive abusing actions on meta and cs wiki. --Lenka64 (talk) 06:33, 11 May 2014 (UTC)
Just a reminder that personal attacks (and off-topic comments) are not acceptable here. So if you don't have anything to tell about the case, be quiet. --Stryn (talk) 11:40, 11 May 2014 (UTC)
You are mistake. It is only describing of Juandev activity and reaction on "Excuse me. On the project, where I am one of the biggiest contributor, ...". --Lenka64 (talk) 12:03, 11 May 2014 (UTC)
Your comment being a reaction to another one doesn't make denoting another user as "the bigg[]est creator of ballast" less a personal attack. Furthermore, it is completely off-topic and doesn't help this request in any way. I am also starting to wonder how so many Czech users neither involved in meta nor in cs.wikiversity found out about this request by the local cs.wikiversity community and came to comment here (though this is obviously not the place to discuss local issues). In light of these users having performed their last edits to meta exclusively to defend Danny B. I assume there is some off-wiki canvassing ongoing here. Sorry if I am mistaken with this assumption, though. Vogone (talk) 12:49, 11 May 2014 (UTC)
OMG .... my [edits on cs.wikiversity]..this is unauthorized application for desysopping, which community did not reach consensus on. It is interesting that the request hasn't been posted by any member of the local community but some outside person not known to that community who on top of it didn't state who is behind the request. --Lenka64 (talk) 13:19, 11 May 2014 (UTC)
Please read Kusurija's comment below. He is a local community member (even the most active one after Juandev at the moment) and has confirmed this request. Regarding your contributions to cs.wikiversity, I don't see any recent ones but anyway this kind of discussion doesn't belong here. Thank you. Vogone (talk) 13:44, 11 May 2014 (UTC)
@Ruslik0: It appears that only his sysop access was subject of this discussion and thus only his sysop flag is to be removed. Kind regards, Vogone (talk) 13:29, 10 May 2014 (UTC)

There is no community consensus for removing Danny B's sysop flag. Founder (Krvesaj) of voting specified "five votes for removing" as necessary requierement for removing sysop flag; voting was closed by him on 30th April with negative result (only 3 votes for removing). 30 edits during last 30 days, presented by Juandev, was never specified as requirement for participation in voting. Juandev's request is rough misinterpretation of voting result, it is his "solo action" and should be rejected here. --Milda (talk) 09:48, 10 May 2014 (UTC)

Dear Milda, first: not Juandev requested it, but Vogone, second: if You think, that their (Juandev's or Vogone's) request is to be rejected, so consequently I personally will request, if You wish. In my opinion You are missing, thinking, that "it is only his (whose?) "solo action". With regard. --Kusurija (talk) 14:00, 10 May 2014 (UTC)
  • ack billinghurst 06:40, 10 May 2014 (UTC), -jkb- 10:29, 10 May 2014 (UTC)
Please, check, how many usable edits made those, who voted for Danny B.'s desysoping. Consequently, note, that we are talking about Danny B.'s usefulness for cs.wikiversity; not about usefulness for other mediawiki projects. Note, that in this desysoping and, consequently, how many usable edits made those, who voted against case other projects has nothing common with cs.wikiversity problems. Danny B.'s sysops edits is often not friendly to active users, I mean not only to Juandev - to others too (as well). If asked for explanation of his edits, we'd got or no explanation, or explanation without any sense (or which we can't understand). I personally can see, that this situation is not only for last several days or weeks, but for comparately long time. And YES, we need good sysop and good 'crat. But if one works all time so often against other editors willings, I personally thing, that better would not to have such sysop/'crat. I think, that is not so good manner to invite his "friends" from cs.wikipedia to support him or even to disturb active cs.wikiversity users. I apologize be so late with my opinion, as I didn't know, where it is discussed. --Kusurija (talk) 13:42, 10 May 2014 (UTC)
I'm not involved in this matter but I miss the logic here. How can you expect five votes in favour of the removal while there are less than five users active in the community? This appears not feasible and clear consensus exists if you only consider the active part of the community currently contributing to the wiki. On top of that, even if you consider the 3 opinions voiced by users mainly active in other communities, it isn't a sign of trust if only 50% of the community trusts you. On most wikis even that would be sufficient for a removal of access. Regards, Vogone (talk) 13:29, 10 May 2014 (UTC)

X mark.svg Not done at this time, there is clearly continued debate which is being undertaken, and that debate should not be here at meta. All users, please stop your debating on this page, and undertake that conversation at cswikiversity.  — billinghurst sDrewth 13:50, 11 May 2014 (UTC)

Excuse me, but this "debate" was taking please between users not active on that wiki who now (successfully) prevented community consensus to be implemented by stewards. Vogone (talk) 13:59, 11 May 2014 (UTC)
Can I say something? You think probably I should not, but I dont see the reason, to not to say my POV. The approval has ended. Its logic that if people support Danny, they will support it also in here and people who dont support him will opose. But this request is not about whats going on now, but its about something already happend. If we had local crat, he may evaluate it. Unfortunatelly the only crat is Danny B. so that would not have a sense to leave the evaluation on him if it is about him. --Juandev (talk) 18:34, 11 May 2014 (UTC)

I am the other admin of the czech Wikiversity. "The other", because we are only two, and that is the problem. Danny B. had been the only admin for a long time. After I discovered the czech Wikiversity and started to use it in my teacher work, I saw there was a lot to do in the czech Wikiversity, so that it could become a really usefull educational tool for me and other teachers. I started to contribute to improve the structure, the help texts, the clear definitions of the types of contents etc. After some time, some users asked me to request the admin rights. I did it, and I became the second admin.

I am not versed in the technical issues of the wiki software, so that I was glad Danny B. made an agreement with me he would take care of the technical issues, and I could do my work on the structure of the contents etc. But with a time, I realized how difficult it was to cooperate with Danny B. E.g.: Several times I worked out a proposal for a convention, help text, template we needed to order the contents. I started a discussion about it, made proposed improvements etc., and then initiated a vote to accept the improved proposal. But then, Danny B. and several friends of his — none of them participated in the discussion — voted against and blocked the proposal. I asked what was the problem with the proposal — and I got no answer, or I got an answer the proposal was "quite bad" without details. Etc.

As I have said, I am not versed with the technical issues and I dare not to be the only admin of the czech Wikiversity. I need somebody to work with. Sometimes, I am quite desperate about Danny B., but I have no other one. That is the reason I didn't vote against Danny B. But — give me another technically versed admin, and I take him immediately instead of Danny B. It is not a problem of "animosity", it is a problem of (non)cooperativity. --Mmh (talk) 00:45, 13 May 2014 (UTC)

It is interesting to hear, you made and agreement with Danny B., that he will take care of technical issues and you of others. I have done the same agreement with Danny B. years ago in 2007, when cs.wv was in the incubation. The same as you I came to the conclusion he offer a very little technical help to the community.
But I also came to the conclusion his techical operations, are not need by Wikiversity community, that he do them for his personal pleasure. So I can only repeat my qustion, what technical operations needed by Czech Wikiversity Danny B. did, that we cannot exist without them? Its like Babel categories, you thought you can ask Danny B. to enable them. It looks from the dissusion that Danny B. is also a developer, who can perform such operation by himself. But, as you can see here, if there is a community consensus, anyone can ask developers to apply it. And you dont necessary to be technically super skilled.
So maybe Billinghurst is right above, that we should discuss it at cs.wv a little bit more. I personally dont see, the imidiate need of Danny B.'s technical actions, but maybe I am wrong. So lets talk about it there!--Juandev (talk) 07:18, 13 May 2014 (UTC)

Leinad@pl.wikipedia

Leinad has made no bureaucrat actions in the last year. His bureaucrat access should be removed per our local policy. Thanks, Mateusz.ns (talk) 17:03, 7 May 2014 (UTC)

The policy, as I understand it (obviously I don't speak Polish so if there's a misunderstanding there do let me know), also makes it quite clear that the request for removal has to come from an active bureaucrat. I suggest you bring the matter to their attention. I will mark this request as not done but obviously a local 'crat can reopen this if they wish to submit such a request. Kind regards, Snowolf How can I help? 15:26, 8 May 2014 (UTC)
It should be a bureaucrat but according to this discussion it is not necessary. 83.10.49.144 15:31, 8 May 2014 (UTC)
If that is the case the policy should be updated, but I would personally think it much easier to just have a 'crat poke us. Snowolf How can I help? 15:45, 8 May 2014 (UTC)
If I know "should" does not mean "have to". And the bureaucrat is not a superior of other users, is not it? 83.10.49.144 15:56, 8 May 2014 (UTC)
As long as plwiki policy requires a 'crat to file the request, we cannot and will not carry it out unless a 'crat requests it. We do not have the power to ignore policies. Kind regards, Snowolf How can I help? 15:59, 8 May 2014 (UTC)
Thanks for your reply. I think that bureaucrats will do something. 83.10.49.144 16:14, 8 May 2014 (UTC)
  • A discussion with effects to this particular case is ongoing currently on pl-wiki and this motion, clearly premature, is a part of this debate. It is my understanding that the community leans towards removal, I will keep monitoring the case and it should be ready to re-open in some 2 weeks tops. Pundit (talk) 17:21, 8 May 2014 (UTC)
    • Okay, I'll keep this request on hold then. Trijnsteltalk 17:27, 8 May 2014 (UTC)

Hsarrazin@frwikisource, Yann@frwikisource

Hello,

Could you give to Hsarrazin and me the m:Importer right in fr.wikisource.org ? We are both already admins there, and we need the right to import pages from http://wikilivres.ca/. Thanks, Yann (talk) 10:20, 23 February 2014 (UTC)

Dear Yann, did you start a discussion locally to gather community consensus for this change ? Or at least, to inform them about it ? Regards, -- Quentinv57 (talk) 10:29, 23 February 2014 (UTC)
Here: s:fr:Wikisource:Scriptorium/Février_2014#Droits_d.27importation. Regards, Yann (talk) 07:37, 24 February 2014 (UTC)
Yes check.svg Done per [13]. As discussed on IRC, let's go for 3 months, please tell us to expand if you need it longer. -- Quentinv57 (talk) 12:11, 24 February 2014 (UTC)

Olsi@sq.wikinews

Hi! I have been administrator on sq.wikinews from July 3, 2011 to January 3, 2012 and from January 6 2012 to January 6 2013. I want to become an administrator because I am going to write new articles there and I need administrator tools to protect published articles. I posted a notice on the village pump last week and there are no objections yet! --Olsi (talk) 21:20, 14 May 2013 (UTC)

To note that it seems this was proposed by the known abusor Google9999 at sq:Përdoruesi_diskutim:Olsi#Administrator_on_sq_Wikinews. Nevertheless I have no objection on this request, knowing Olsi's long-term commitment to this project; but won't decide it. --MF-W 13:59, 15 May 2013 (UTC)
Done Granted for 1 year to expire on 2014-05-26. To prolong your (interface) adminship, please start another election a few days before your temporary access expires, and after a week post your request again to this page. Thanks. Ruslik (talk) 16:51, 26 May 2013 (UTC)

Done. If the other two importers (including yourself) are going inactive, please let us know and we'll remove the rights. Also, if there is no longer a need for the xml uploading, please let us know. Thanks :) Ajraddatz (talk) 01:07, 16 May 2014 (UTC)

User Yann@fr.wikisource

Could you please give import right on the French Wikisource. We need them to import texts regularly from Wikilivres. See s:fr:Discussion utilisateur:Yann#Temporary rights expiration notice. Thanks, Yann (talk) 07:20, 26 May 2014 (UTC)

Done Granted for 1 year to expire on 2014-5-26. If the other admin needs the rights back as well please direct them here as well (or start a section linking to a discussion elsewhere). Thanks, Ajraddatz (talk) 07:24, 26 May 2014 (UTC)
