Nothing in this guideline alters or overrides local policies or guidelines of active projects. This guideline is a statement of how stewards have stated they wish to exercise their powers with discretion.

Granting permissions[edit]

Temporary Importer[edit]

  • Local user places a notice on the local sites' equivalent of the Village Pump or Administrators Noticeboard.
  • Waits 24-48 hours for objections. No supports required but any opposition requires full discussion.
  • Anyone posts the request on SRP.
  • Steward can change right at this point, with removal without notice after term expires.

Permanent importer[edit]

  • Local user places a notice on the local sites' equivalent of the Village Pump or Administrators Noticeboard.
  • Waits 1 week and obtains 2/3's support of at least 5-10 people voting
  • Steward can change right at this point.

Temporary Administrator[edit]

  • 3 months - User posts an advisory notice on local wiki. If there are no oppositions after 7 days a request can be made on SRP to request access.
  • 6 months or longer- User posts an advisory notice on local wiki. 2-4 supports & 2/3's support over 7 day election.
    • (user can request extensions with local notices / re-elections near to when their temporary access expires, and normally extended for 3 months or longer at a time depending on votes and size of community)

Permament Administrator[edit]

There must be a minimum of two permanent admins locally at all times for oversight.

  • Candidates for permanent adminship must be elected by a minimum of 5 votes over a minimum of 1-2 weeks. With a support ratio of 80%. The local community must also be large enough. Large will be determined by stewards.

Bureaucrat[edit]

A project must have at least six to ten administrators to elect bureaucrats. It is ideal be a minimum of two bureaucrats locally at all times for oversight.

  • Candidates for bureaucrat-ship must be elected by a minimum of 15-20 votes over a minimum one- two weeks, with a support ratio of around 80%. Per adminship, the community must be large enough.

Removing permissions[edit]

Activities[edit]

Temporary admins can be removed by anyone with the ability if they begin to perform actions they are not approved for.

Permanent administrators can have their flags removed if they go rogue, become abusive. Normally this should be made to the SRP noticeboard only after a local hearing has taken place; except in emergencies.

Inactivity[edit]

No action for 24 months[edit]

An admin or crat shall be determined to be inactive when they have fewer than 1 admin/crat logged action/edit in the past 24 months. They should, of course, be given the chance to respond. See AAR for more details.
