Personal info: It's been more than 11 years now that I serve as a steward. In the last 12 months I couldn't hold the same activity level as before because I got some new reseponsibilities at work which reduced my free time, and shifted my focus to Wikimedia Commons (in almost all of October, I had almost no connection in Buenos Aires while taking photos for the Youth Olympics). Nevertheless, I am still active in the areas which I engaged before, mainly anti-vandalism activities which includes checks on loginwiki, and IP blocks and account locks. Beyond logged actions, I try to be responsive on IRC, at mailing lists, and steward phone calls; I also handled some OTRS tickets but not as many as I wanted to. Besides that, I was working on a couple of banners in the last year.

Knowing the development of the role of Wikimedia Stewards pretty well due to my long-term committment, I also try to explain to the Wikimedia public wherever possible what it contains and how they can help. I'd like to continue with all these activities at least in the same way as before and look forward to your feedback.

Informationen zur Person: Seit mehr als 11 Jahren bin ich nun als Steward aktiv. In den letzten 12 Monaten konnte ich leider nicht genauso aktiv in dieser Rolle sein wie zuvor, was zum einen an neuen Verantwortlichkeiten bei meiner Arbeit lag, die meine Freizeit reduziert haben, aber auch an einer Fokussierung auf Wikimedia Commons (fast im gesamten Oktober hatte ich beinahe keine Internetverbindung, als ich Fotos bei der Jugendolympiade in Buenos Aires gemacht habe). Nichtsdestotrotz bin ich noch immer aktiv in den Bereichen, in denen ich zuvor aktiv war, vor allem in der Anti-Vandalismusbekämpfung. Dies betrifft dann vor allem CheckUser-Aktionen im loginwiki und IP- sowie Benutzersperren. Neben den geloggten Aktionen versuche ich stets im IRC, auf den Mailinglisten und bei den Telefonkonferenzen erreichbar zu sein. Ein paar OTRS-Tickets habe ich ebenfalls geschlossen, aber weniger als ich ursprünglich vorhatte. Daneben habe ich auch einige Banner im letzten Jahr erstellt.

Aufgrund meines langen Engagements in dem Bereich kenne ich die Entwicklung der Rolle der Wikimedia-Stewards gut und versuche sie, wo immer möglich, der Wikimedia-Öffentlichkeit zu erklären. Es würde mich freuen, im kommenden Jahr mindestens in diesem Umfang die Rolle weiter auszufüllen und freue mich auf euer Feedback.
