*New stewards are elected roughly once per year. Stewards perform technical tasks on all Wikimedia wikis based on community consensus and on the Steward policy: changing user access, viewing user information in cases of abuse, and so on (see details).
- For more information on voting, translating, or being a candidate, read the guidelines. You can automatically check your eligibility to vote.
- Candidate submissions are open from 15 January 2013, 00:00 until 28 January 2013, 23:59 (UTC). Questions to the candidates can be submitted until the election concludes.
- The voting will begin on 8 February 2013, 00:00 and end 27 February 2013, 23:59 (UTC). Candidates must meet the criteria and obtain at least 30 votes in favor with an 80% support ratio. You can track the results with collected statistics.
- The confirmation process of the current stewards is being held in parallel.

Membere vum Walbüro
Stewards organize the elections themselves, with input from the Foundation's Director of Community Advocacy, Philippe Beaudette. The Board of Trustees decided in 2009 that they will abstain from confirming the result of new elections. Therefore, stewards decided to create an election committee consisting of volunteers for the following tasks:
- Ënn vun de Stewardwalen 2013;
- Confirmatioun vun de Resultater vun de Walen, nodeem alle Stëmmen vun alle Kandidaturen op hir Stëmmberechtigung nogekuckt gi sinn;
- Ernennung vun de gewielte Kandidaten;
- Ënn vun de Stewardconfirmatiounen 2013;
- no der Stewarddiskussioun: Bewäertung vum Konsens vun der Communitautéit an de Stewards an d'Entscheedung, ob wie vun de Stewards confirméiert gëtt a wien net.
