Hello everyone! For those of you who don't know me, I am AmandaNP. I became a steward for the first time in 2021. I stepped down for the last year in anticipation of an activity drop. I am resubmitting my name for the steward elections as my plate has cleared up, and expect my activity to increase further later this year. I have been a two term arbitrator, a enwiki bureaucrat since 2019, and I served two years on the Ombuds Commission. I have been a CU for almost a decade and a half, and OS for just over a decade. I also built UTRS 2 and hope to push further upgrades this year.

For 2026, my role follows in the footsteps of where I have tried to contribute in the past, but will have a strong focus on pursuing a strategic vision and pushing for sustainability. The steward group, while internally self-sustainable, is subject to external pressures (i.e., changing technologies, increased workloads, and the voice in the anti-abuse conversation as a whole) that continue to demand more with less. We would be remiss if we didn't take that concern seriously.

Additionally, in terms of where I will be most active on-wiki, it would be SRCU with Sotiale, and SRP, addressing individual requests. I expect to also show up around global sock prevention and clean-up, especially when coming from enwiki, as it pushes a fair amount of steward request traffic. I will also be looking for additional ways to reduce workloads with scripts that I will make available to the stewards as I have in the past.

Thank you for taking the time to consider me. -- Amanda (she/her) 08:03, 27 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]
