- Personal info: (English)Hi! My name is Lucas Teles, I am a former steward with more than ten years having served in the group. My most recent confirmation was in 2024, which went well. Throughout my service as a steward, I usually kept a low profile work, with not much drama or controversy and all confirmations were succesful. Of course it wasn't perfect, and I always paid attention to suggestions I received in those processes. I left the group in 2024, because I really needed more time to dedicate to real life work and other areas of Wikimedia. Also, in 2020, I had to leave the group for a year due to a variety of factors, and then was re-elected the following year.
After all those changes and serving other committees, I learned a lot and met with incredible people, but I can say for sure that the Steward group was where I've found that my volunteer time was valued and I could fit it better with my real life. If elected, I don't plan to request removal of the rights anytime soon, as long as I remain active, until I am definitely leaving.
I am currently a global sysop, rollbacker and renamer. Mostly active as a renamer, but those other tools have been useful for my work dealing with cross-wiki vandalism as I watch SWviewer. I am also a member of Ombuds, on which I constantly deal with privacy and checkuser issues. To avoid potential conflict of interest, I plan to withdraw from that group decision-making position if elected steward. My home wiki is Portuguese Wikipedia, and the last time I held advanced rights there was until 2024, when I left in good standing.
If elected, I plan to work the same way I did in the past, mostly dealing with spambots and vandalism, but also using checkuser and oversight tools when necessary. I will most likely be seen at SRG, but probably sometimes at SRP as well, and lurking at IRC to answer emergency requests. Also, I will be proactively looking for work by routinely checking abuse logs (I see some backlogs there), watching recent changes feeds, and so on. I am willing to keep community trust, stay active, learn some updates of new potential procedures that may have come up in recent time.
