    Hey everyone, I am DreamRimmer. I created my account in April 2021 and have been editing actively since March 2023. I currently serve as an admin and interface admin on Meta-Wiki and a temporary admin on Hindi Wikipedia (hiwiki). I have been a SWMT member since late 2023 and also serve globally as a global sysop since June 2025 and a global renamer since January 2024. On English Wikipedia, I am a member of the Bot Approvals Group.

    I regularly work in areas where steward tools can help stop cross-wiki spam, vandalism, and abusive LTAs. I am a technical contributor who develops bots, tools, and scripts to support global users in their work. Three of my scripts have been promoted as gadgets, two for global rename workflows and one for the Simple English Wikipedia RfD process. I have been assisting at steward venues such as SRP for the past two years, manually archiving SRP requests for sixteen months before automating the process through my bot. Auditing global groups such as global IP block exempt, abuse filter helper, and global rollbackers was difficult and time consuming due to the scale of members and wikis involved, which CptViraj and I addressed by creating the https://globalgroupsaudit.toolforge.org tool that simplifies auditing for stewards. I have also contributed to maintenance tasks, such as writing a script to modify over 3700 global and local blocks to correct block reason text, which I could have easily handled myself.

    If elected, I intend to assist with SRP, SRGP, SRG, and SRM, and I would also support requests at SRB given my interest and experience in bot development. While I do not yet have functionary experience on-wiki, I have worked with these tools in my local MediaWiki environment and through my technical work I am familiar with issues related to networks and IP addresses. I am also aware of steward policies and other relevant policies such as CheckUser, Oversight, Access to nonpublic personal data policy, and privacy policies. For most of the year my time zone is +5:30 and I remain active throughout the day, allowing me to handle requests consistently. There are currently no stewards from India, and I believe my experience and knowledge of Indic languages would be useful to the steward team. I acknowledge that I am not perfect, and I would welcome guidance from experienced stewards and will consult or defer to others whenever in doubt. The tools they make are very useful as a global renamer - just this morning their tools helped someone catch someone that made 10 rename requests (!). And I don't particularly care about the lack of "content adminship" as their failed RFA has been close to two years in gap (and even if it was more recent, their other work more than make up for it). I have worked closely with him on enwiki, where he is a new pages patrol coordinator that specializes in running 3 backlog drives a year. DreamRimmer is also a technical contributor, where he specializes in taking over important bots whose owners went inactive, and he is a member of enwiki's bot approvals group. DreamRimmer is also a global sysop, so has sysop experience. Finally, DreamRimmer has a pleasant personality and is able to shake off challenges that would demoralize most Wikimedians, such as not succeeding at his first enwiki request for adminship.     I acknowledge your concern. I have been closely observing steward workflows for the past two years and was excited to work with stewards, with some plans to make things easier for stewards when hundreds of wikis are involved. I felt especially encouraged after reading Wikimedia Stewards User Group/Reports/2025, where it was stated that there is still a huge need for new stewards, especially from underrepresented regions, for daily work and for more technical perspectives. Based on that, I decided to run, as I am from India, a highly populous country that still has no steward and is underrepresented. Secondly, they mentioned the need for more stewards for daily work and technical input, and I believe I fit that criteria. SRG is a lot of actions, but they don't require that much skill. it's the 1% of actions that take 99% of the work. Enwiki is the only place where non-admins can do what is effectively crat/steward level work (BAG in particular), but while I have no doubts as to DR's technical ability, I would really like some time as an enwiki admin just to see how they handle closing disputes (if they choose to do so at all) but I'm neutral until then.
