    Hello everyone, My name is Mohammed Qays. I joined Wikimedia projects on 4 June 2022, and I have remained an active contributor on Wikipedia and other Wikimedia projects since then. I currently serve as a sysop on the Arabic Wikipedia (since 23 January 2024), an interface administrator (since 24 October 2024), and a sysop on Wikidata (since 19 August 2024).

    Through my work as an administrator, I have gained experience in handling maintenance tasks, supporting editors, and applying policies carefully and fairly. I am particularly interested in contributing beyond my home wiki and being more involved with the global Wikimedia community, especially in areas where cross-wiki assistance and coordination are needed.

    I have read and fully agree with everything outlined in Stewards/Elections 2026/Guidelines. If elected, I commit to assisting users and handling steward tasks in accordance with established policies, guidelines, and best practices, while acting with neutrality, caution, and respect for privacy.

    I understand the importance of accountability and recognize that steward work requires careful judgment. I am always willing to seek advice from more experienced stewards, step back from situations where there may be a conflict of interest, and learn from any mistakes.

It's a shame since the original Arabic text was a lot better. The second part is that you don't seem to have knowledge of English at all (i.e, en-0). Now, Arabic is a major language and I wouldn't mind working with someone that doesn't speak English, but the unfortunate reality is that _some_ knowledge of the language is required (eg many internal documentation is only in English and I certainly wouldn't want you to be copying that into an LLM). Answers to questions do not convince at all. Your AI-generated responses make me doubt your criteria. Althought you're saying it's solely for translation, this is still a problem. Also, I think there's a language barrier here. You didn't specify in your statement which languages do you speak. Running unsuccessfully for the U4C is also a concern; you should consider this, as it can impact with your experience. The problem isn't for me the use of AI/LLM but more that the responses when questioned about it felt dishonest to me. I obviously don't mind having someone weaker in English on the team, but I did give an opportunity with my question to respond in Arabic and I was a bit disappointed that it took an additional talk page message before the answers were finally switched to human answers in Arabic (which indeed were better than the previous ones).
