Be careful[edit]

@Lingveno: In your call to build infoboxes using Wikidata be careful: in some Wikipedias there are strong concerns about the use of Wikidata. The French Wikipedia has a large group of opponents to Wikidata use and a policy is currently discussed to limit the use of WD in infoboxes and to require several agreements before deployment. Your call should mention that the use of infoboxes based on WD should be done according to the rules of the local community in order to avoid deception. Good luck[edit]

I think is a great idea, especially if it benefits smaller Wikipedia communities (and those that want to participate). I can't really partake because of other work queues, but if any important insight are gained it would be nice if they could be documented here d:Wikidata:Infobox Tutorial. If the tutorial is really accessible then we can rely on the Multiplication factor and not one person has to convert ten-thousand templates. --Tobias1984 (talk) 14:03, 29 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Little note[edit]

Hi everybody. On Wikidata, we already have an infobox that is able to work in 19 languages, see d:Q22569576. This infobox take all its datas from Wikidata. Moreover, we have similar functions for classifications, team rosters, list of stages, list of winners of a race... It works very well. So I propose that the infobox must be able to work in a maximum of languages. It is time to work truely together. Jérémy-Günther-Heinz Jähnick (talk) 11:30, 30 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]
