149k "in hand 2011" from the Netherlands[edit]

Hi. Any idea where the 149k for the Netherlands in cell M11 comes from? --Siebrand 15:26, 9 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Currency conversion influency (USD got stronger compared to last year)[edit]

Some of the comparisons in the spreadsheet may look strange and I would propose that both local currency "last year"/"this year" as well as USD "last year"/"this year" is added. Judging country performance solely based on the USD performance might be a skewed indicator. --Siebrand 15:29, 9 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Requested Data[edit]

We are certainly willing, and planning, to release the data for the 2011 fundraiser, but we are still in the clean-up phase. We are hoping to have everything complete in the next week or two and will generate the data set once that is complete. Looking back at the previous years' data, it looks like some of the fields you requested are not there. If you'd like me to, I can rerun past years' data at the same time that I generate the 2011 dataset.

Currently planned fields (as requested by Lodewijk) are:

  • Country of origin
  • Amount in local currency when applicable (if they donated in that currency)
  • Amount in USD
  • Whether these amounts are before or after deduction of costs by donation platform (i.e. credit card company, paypal)
  • Date of donation

Additionally, we are also planning to provide payment type (e.g. credit/debit card, check, bank transfer, direct debit, iDeal, BPay, etc).

If there are any other fields that would be useful, please let me know and we will see if we can provide them as well.
