Thanks for sharing this wish. Could you share a little more regarding your needs? How does your vision compare to what exists in extension: translate? JWheeler-WMF (talk) 08:26, 9 August 2024 (UTC)

What already exist is closer to wikitext editing than to visualeditor. I like editing visually and seeing directly how my edits are going to look like and the context in which the text will be used. The way it is now, I have to rely on that someone has added a comment on the unit or going to the page and finding where the unit is going to be used. This isn't very effective and slows down the translation rate. For me atleast. Sabelöga (talk) 00:23, 16 August 2024 (UTC)

@Sabelöga We discussed this and the team decided to decline this due to the high implementation cost, even to review volunteer patches for such a project. Thanks for understanding! MikeZ-WMF (talk) 09:27, 19 March 2026 (UTC)
