Wikilinks on Commons

I always found it a problem that wikilinks on Commons don't display Page Previews. So this could also enable these. Apparently the linked phab issue is about exactly that. Hi, Prototyperspective! I am a big fan of hover-over/pop-up page views. I figured out how to enable it for wikilinks on Commons. Well, for intra-Commons links... is that what you are interested in? If so, I can show you how to do it.

Or... are you wanting inter-wiki page previews, i.e. transwiki previews from Commons to other wikipedia sites? If the latter, then yes, you are correct: The current Phabricator request should address that, although I am uncertain if there's been much progress! I too would find that helpful. If you haven't done so already, you might want to add your name to the list of requestors on the corresponding W196 project page, as I don't know if it existed in November 2024.
